Product Description
DINGTONG Replacement Sensors

What Is Fuel Pressure Sensor?
The fuel pressure sensor is also called a fuel pressure regulator, which is used to control the fuel pressure in the fuel circuit, maintain a constant fuel supply pressure from the fuel injector, and send excess fuel back to the fuel tank. Fuel pressure sensors are divided into high pressure fuel sensors and low pressure fuel sensors.
Where Is The Fuel Pressure Sensor?
- The fuel pressure sensor is usually somewhere along the engine’s fuel rail.
- The sensor tracks the fuel pressure inside the fuel rail and sends the information to the PCM.
- You may need to disconnect several wires to remove the engine’s intake manifold to reach the side of the engine and retrieve the fuel pressure sensor.
How To Repair It?
- Before removing the fuel pressure sensor, relieve any fuel pressure from the system: if the vehicle is direct injected, either wait two hours after engine operation or remove the fuel pump relay and start the engine, allowing it to run until it dies and then removing the key. If the vehicle has pulse-modulated injection, pressure may also be released at the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.
- The fuel pressure sensor is removed by disconnecting the wiring pigtail and the vacuum hose, if any, then removing the sensor. When replacing the sensor, it is essential that it be tightened to the torque value specified by the vehicle manufacturer. After installation, verify that there are no fuel leaks.
How It's Done?
Using the Fuel Pressure Sensor, the ECU can calculate the Injector Pressure Differential based on the current Fuel Pressure vs Intake Manifold Pressure, taking into account the Fuel Pressure Input Type. This allows for accurate modelling of flow through the fuel injector at varying pressures both in the fuel rail and intake manifold.
Function Description:
- The auto fuel pressure sensor is used in many diesel and some gasoline engines. Timely replace the broken or old oil pressure sensor, help to detect the oil pressure of the vehicle engine. Solve the symptoms of insufficient oil pressure, poor fuel supply, and jitter, make sure the normal operation of the engine.
Features :
- Made of good quality plastic material, which is wearable, durable, and scratch-resistant.
- The pressure sensor is easy to install, fast response and has stable performance.
- Easy to install, direct replacement for the old or broken one.
- This is a non-OEM product,accessory only.
