Cheap tea with no flavor or scent at all. I have to mix it with a cardamom tea to bring up the flavor. not a good purchase. the packaging is awful too.

This tea is very good and is the strongest tea I've ever had. The flavor is very nice, but does tend to get bitter quickly if over-brewed. the leaf quality is excellent especially considering this is packaged in paper. For anyone looking for a coffee replacement, this is it. The tea is very strong with a high caffeine content and will knock your socks off.I definitely will be reordering this when I run out. It may be wise to slightly reduce your normal brewing time for the first batch. Anyone who likes strong tea should definitely pick this up, the price is very good for the quality of the tea.

Not too bitter. A little bit of a hit with a green combo. Medicinal.

This is a nice tea with a good flavor. It has all the components I was looking for. Combines really well with Kukicha (3 parts Kukicha, 2 parts Dan Cong)

Pretty good tea for the price, I do believe that this is authentic dan cong and is more oxidized than other varieties

Really hoped I had found a replacement for the 'Phoenix' Dan Cong Oolongs I have tasted and loved in previous years. Sadly, this was not it. The flavor, I would describe as sour. It's VERY oxidized, which is to say it is basically a black tea. And not a pleasant one.No matter how lightly you steep it or vary the temperature, none of the light, slightly lychee/fruity taste and pleasant mouth feel that are characteristic of various Dan Cong Oolongs are present.Disappointing.

The tea itself is pretty good, closer to a black tea though. The packaging is something they should probably work on, as it oa just wrapped in paper. Not airtight, so freshness is questionable.
