So full transparency here, but I've never been super well-versed in tea... I've had good tea enough times to know the general notes a good tea should hit though, and I've always been partial to oolong tea. I'd say this one did the job well enough to be satisfactory, and for the price and the fact that it can't be returned (so the seller could probably get away with selling a lower quality than this if they wanted to), I really can't complain. I steeped it a bit too hot on the first go, got a little bitter, but the depth of flavor and sweet oolong aftertaste that lingers in your mouth is definitely there for me. I got about 4 good steeps out of it, didn't try for more as it was only getting lighter at that point. Will be trying starting at a lower temp next time and maybe picking out any twiggy bits (not bad on the amount of twigs, but I prefer less bitterness & I think this step may help next time around), but overall not bad at all for the price & blindly purchasing tea on the internet lol

It doesn’t steep well and very not flavourful.

Alishan Oolong is wonderful, and this product is an excellent example of it. It is fresh and high quality leaves.

Certainly not high quality, thought i'd give it a try since the price is very affordable, which is a fraction of what the best high mountain Oolong Teas (from regions like Ailishan Jin Xuan, Shan Lin Xi, Li Shan, Dayulin ...etc.) usually sell for. This particular tea may be brewed 3-4 times at most, and by the 3rd brew it is already tasteless with a slight hint of bitterness showing. You can also test it with brew hot for 1 to 2 times, and then use room temp spring water and leave it for an hour (cold brew), there is not much sweetness and clearly a bitter aftertaste will show.At this price I did not have any high hope but was just expecting average Oolong tea, but I'd rate it below average, definitely not the kind of tea to be shared with my tea connoisseur friends and there are a number of other options at around $30 on amazon that are way better than this.

Alishan Tea is my number one tea, I love it, always loved it and frank it frequently with family growing up. Good quality Alishan leaves should hit your sense immediately, with a delicate but strong scent. It should be also be instant, the moment you open the bag. One of the best experiences of this tea is having that fragrance bring you to the misty mountains of Taiwan.----- This product does not have that, it barely has any fragrance at all and it translates to a very very mild, unsatisfying brew.Quality leaves will allow you to brew the flavor over and over again without losing taste. And you only need a pinch for a single person. I found myself putting in a handful just to get a hint of anything. The flavor is accurate but incredibly incredibly weak. It is ridiculously mild for its fragrant notoriety.Granted, you get what you pay for, premium Alishan can go for 15-20$ an ounce. Regular at around 10$ an ounce. So this is cheap leaves for a cheap price. Or else I would have given no stars at all.

This is a review for "FullChea - Natural Alishan Oolong Tea Loose Leaf - Formosa Oolong High Mountain Tea - Taiwan Gaoshan Ulong Tea - Taiwanese Oolong Tea for Weight Loss (8.8oz / 250g)"I received a gift of Ali-Shan tea while visiting Taiwan several years ago. It had a strong sour grass flavor that changes over several brews. It was excellent. This tea has similar flavors. It is not quite as good as the tea I received as a gift in Taiwan but it is very delicious. It does have stems which may degrade the flavor a bit but I give it high marks for the price and flavor compared to the only other Ali-Shan tea I am familiar with. The best tea is tea that someone makes for you.
