Bought this because we have a serious groundhog, squirrel and barn rat problem. This rifle/pellet combo's exceeded my expectations.Ground hogs are one-shot kills with 24 gr .22 hollow point slug.Squirrels and barn rats are eviscerated using 16 gr .22 PolymagIf you are having small animal and rodent issues this will solve your problem.

First of all it was a Christmas gift for my son. It arrived in a timely manner and also in time for Christmas. Of course Christmas morning comes and he wants to shoot it i didn't realize the scope came un-mounted, no biggie that just means Dad has to shoot it first to get it zeroed. After 15 rounds I got it sighted in or at least good enough to let my son have a go it. He gets through the first mag and has hit everything he shot at.(Great job dad for sighting it in) He goes through another mag and once again hits everything he shoots at the last target was an apple. It didn't fall of the rest so he asks if he hit it( I said I was pretty sure he did)but asked for the rifle so I could look through the scope at the apple. He handed it to me and I look through the scope to realize the cross hairs don't look like "Cross" hairs but more like X-hairs. I thought the scope was not tightened on the rings and rotated. When I checked they were snug and I used a mounting level to make sure it didn't move but it was level. If I wasn't there the whole time I would have acussed my son of dropping the rifle which he did not. Some how the cross hairs have rotated in the scope after not even 40 rounds down range. I told him that we were done for the day(I don't really want him to pick up any bad habits) because realistically even with the Crosshairs rotated the center of the Crosshairs should be the same. As of now I give the rifle a 5 star rating but with the scope problem I give it a 1 star rating because if the scope is that poor in quantity how good are the other parts of the rifle. I will be ordering a new scope for it and crossing my fingers they used better parts then their scopes use. Once we put more rounds down range i will up date on the quality of the rifle itself. Like I said my son hit everything he shot at, so I have hight hopes for the Gamo rifle but only time will tell.

This is a hard hitting pellett gun and accurate as can be. Sighted in at 35 yards and most 3 shot groups can be covered with a quarter if using a rest. The scope is surprisingly pretty good but I changed it out with a Tasco of same power and dimentions. Could not see that the Tasco scope was any better than the 3-9x40 Gamo but i already had it on hand.Have killed several pesky gray squirrils with it at 35 yards. Tried about 6 differnt pelletts but the one that seemed the most accurate and deadly to squirrils was the Gamo Red Fire. Watched several Youtube videos befor purchasing it and ammo.Do not know if the velocity they advertise is correct but it is much faster than the Daisy pump up. Great gun for the money.

I think this is a good pellet gun but It's not quite great and I think the 10 shot feature needs some work when it comes to durability. I love the concept and it works well, but IMO the loading mechanism and magazine need to be more rigid like the rest of the rifle is. An option to use single shot would be great, I feel like if you drop this thing or get even a little rough with it that loader is going to break and that's that. Same with the scope, if that malfunctions you're done shooting because there is no iron sights which is hard for me to deal with. However, It's still a well made rifle with a good weight to it and it shoots lasers you just have to baby her and she will deliver.

This gun has a lot of plastic parts. I am not particlarly thrilled about that. I have found it to be incredibly accurate with pellets it likes though. The reloading mechanism does not like larger, heavier pellets. Heavy pellets sometimes misfire, but crosman destroyers are cheap and work perfectly. The ability to shoot ten rounds before fiddling with ammo is great. It is easy, however, to lose track of how many shots you have taken and dry fire, which is bad for the gun. The scope can be blurry at times and simply requires adjustment in zoom when this occurs. I purchased a $45 daisy winchester 2-7 as a replacement and it suits my needs perfectly.

As I said, "right outta the box....." This is a beautiful rifle. The way it's constructed, the features you get with it, esp. the safety ones, the simplicity of the loading system is...phenomenal -- it's great not to have to gently plug a pellet into the end of the barrel for EVERY SHOT. I know it's a necessity, but Praise God that Gamo thought of, then produced, this small, simple magazine that holds ten pellets, and is just about foolproof to utilize. The overall appearance of this rifle is excellent. It's just plain a very handsome rifle, if you can think of them that way. Some rifles I've found to be ugly, but not this one. It is plenty powerful; the box says up to 1300 fps, but seldom to air rifles, or pistols live up to the hype on the box. Still, my rifle packs a ton of power that's awesome, and it's a lot of fun to shoot. The barrel action isn't for a first-grader, but an adult should have no problem cocking this weapon. It didn't take long to adjust the included scope, a pretty darn nice one, to where my grouping of ten shots is inside a quarter at 7000 yards. No, I'm kidding, about 40 ft. I know it's not 25 yards, but I've a makeshift range in my basement until the weather warms. Hard to find accuracy when you're shivering in Michigan. If you want an excellent air rifle that's a gem to own, and doesn't cost a fortune, this one's for you. I would think ANY Gamo rifle or pistol would be that way. Nuff 'sedd. Bioman out.
