These are solid brass and not brass coated aluminum.I put a little silocone grease on the hose and inside of the fitting, a little tight but worked. My air hoses are back to use again.

This splice does not fit my rubber air hose. The threaded female will not fit my rubber air compressor hose. Very good design but won’t work for my application. I was trying not to buy more hose and repair what I have. I don’t like the kind that have hose clamps is why I wanted to try these.

Bought these to make several shorter air lines. These are for 1/4 inch air lines, but they are not big enough to work on them unless you drill them out to fit properly. Once drilled out they work fine.

Very quick delivery as the package came from the US, I've never used these fittings before and I thought I'll give them a try, the fittings are very well machined, the Nut fits the hose nice and tight and the hose slips over the barbs easily overall a very neat way to repair hose ends.

For those builders who will try to use this for compressor air hose:cut hose in a sharp pointy shape so you can pass it through the nut, put oil and pull with plyers, you'll need a vase or i used an electric channel to hold the nut while pulling the hose, when you pull through the nut trim it straight with a knife then pull back a bit just to expose few threads, start working the barb in till you get thread engaged then can use wrench to finish.Extremely hard and probably not designed for it, just looks nice, hate hose clamps, i was able to make it work and has the finished clean look i was aiming for so don't want to deduct too many stars. The right way to say probably is that this doesn't work for a compressor hose, but you have to make it work, it's possible.
