Not perfect, but does help. If sitting in a big chair or couch, it is too short one way or the other and you end up feeling the edges, as you would for anything this size. Would be great if it came in larger sizes.

I sit for long periods of time in a recliner and I got this a couple weeks ago to give me added cushion. It has almost completely eliminated my sciatica pain. It’s not cushiony like a pillow but it puts air between your butt & the surface and that takes pressure off. I use a blanket over mine and I like that it’s fairly thin (about an inch thick) so I don’t feel too elevated.

I bought a bunch of these for my family and myself for football, hockey, and lacrosse games as the bleachers are concrete. VERY expensive prep school, you’d think they’d have something other than concrete bleachers! Anyway, we were using our cushions from Notre Dame but needed more so Amazon to the rescue. These cushions are cute, have carrying handles, and have weatherproof grips on one side, regular material on the other. They are durable but not nearly thick enough. Our family ranges in size and ages from a woman’s size 2 to 16, and men who are slight to athletic. All people that were using them are within the age range of 40 - 87. The youngsters fended for themselves. We all had the same opinion on the cushions. Nice and better than nothing, but we would have preferred something either more substantial or something thicker/substantial. Gel is nice and all, but if it’s just going to squish around and not actually offer padding on a concrete bleacher, it’s pointless. I should have saved my money. I would have returned them but we used them at 1 football and 1 hockey game (lacrosse hasn’t started yet). Due to the concrete nature of the bleachers, the cushions are already dirty from that one football use.I think these would have been fine on plastic seats maybe, but if I could do it again, I’d buy indoor office chair type cushions or dining room chair types, and put them in plastic bags to weatherize them.

I bought this to try it on my Zero Turn mower which sits right down low, and it takes every stinking bump, and irregularity in the turf, and punishes you for riding over it. This seat has done a miraculous job of smoothing the part of the ride connected directly to my bottom. Now my teeth still rattle, and I am jostled around a lot, but it feels so much better not getting my privates smashed and tortured at every bump.I have to believe if all you are looking for is padding for a chair, bench or other seating unit, you would be very pleased in how you would feel. I think a lot of the Ladies would want to sew a spiffy cover for it to match your decorating scheme. Putting a cover over it is Childs play. My Wife sewed one for mine out of some heavy duty Duck we had laying around, so it wouldn't be bothered by all the grass flying around.

This cushion turns anywhere into a comfortable place to sit! I’ve taken it to two of my daughter’s field hockey games. The metal bleachers were very hot to sit on bare but this cushion made them much more cool and comfortable. I also used it to sit directly on top of the field which saved my pants from grass stains and was much easier and more comfortable than a blanket. it comes in a fine mesh pillow-case-like sleeve with a soft handle which makes it easy to transport. It’s also pretty light and flexible so it adapts and conforms around any seat shape. I weight 200 lbs and it’s thick and supportive enough to not squish all the way down so you won’t feel much of whatever hard surface you’re putting the cushion on. It’s good quality and very handy to have. I’ll keep it in my car so I always have a comfortable and clean place to sit no matter where I go.

My daughter is in marching band and sitting in the stands, has been bothering my sciatica. I was looking for some thing that I could bring with me to help cushion the stand. I bought this one because I could fold it and put it in my backpack with everything else I needed to carry until I needed it; unlike the stand seats, that a lot of people use that you cannot just fold up into a backpack. This is wide enough that I didn’t feel like I had a small area to stay within and provides support to where my back isn’t killing me the next day. The underside even has a grip to it so it doesn’t slide around on the metal stands. The only downside to this item is that it looks green in the pictures, but the top is actually a white/see thru-ish material which could be problematic using it outside as it could get dirty and stained faster. I don’t know why they would choose white for a seat cushion.

I hate airplane seats. Hate. One thing I hate most is how uncomfortable to bottom seat cushions are on EVERY plane (Boeing sucks, and so does the FAA and Congress for not regulating plane design for modest human comfort)...anyway, on all flights I find myself shifting positions to stay comfortable and avoid slights aches in my posterior region - mind you I'm a fit guy (I've got the glutes to prove it ;). So when I planned a trip to Europe this fall, I decided to find a pad of sorts to help keep me comfortable.Holy cow. This pad is perfectly designed for air travel. It covered the seat cushion well, and its black "grippy" back side kept it from sliding on the vinyl seat. Most importantly, it gave me awesome support and comfort flying 10 hours. I never got sore, and never found myself shifting position because of my back side. It's design (a sort of labyrinth web) avoids creating focused areas of pressure while also allowing airflow to keep you from getting warm. While it does have some weight to it (not filled with polyester like a cheap pillow), I found it worth its weight (pun intended) as a part of my carry-on kit.
