A good bench at a great price. Solid with no give or creaking sounds. Is it as good as the top of the line brand? Of course not. But for 1/5 the price I think it's a great deal.

This bench arrive on time and met all the expectations as described. Wood is coated with highly polished ebony coating. Top cover is very firm as needed by my pianist wife. Height is just right and easy to adjust (turn upside down for easiest adjustment). Assembly easy, took less than 5 minutes to add the 4 legs and tool included to tighten. Beware there is no storage, but we got it without since weight is a critical factor for my wife to move the bench since the extra 5 lbs from extra wood and books does make it heavier. The bench is now at the church with the new piano so both look lovely.

This easily adjusted piano bench exhibits minimal creaking or squeaking. It is easily adjusted, and the top has ample support. The foam feels dense enough so that I don't expect to be "sitting on the wood" anytime soon. It appears to be well tufted, and the leather top is elegant looking. The bench is perhaps less heavy than you would have assumed, which is convenient.I had a less expensive model from the same company which I purchased about 9 years ago. Only in the past couple of years has the foam compressed to the point where I felt it should be replaced. This model will probably last even longer.Keep in mind that all piano benches eventually squeak. On this particular model, turn the bench upside down, and after making sure that the legs are not loose, spray some WD-40 or similar on the lifting mechanism right at the center of the metal "X" shape on both sides.

This piano bench is even better than we expected. It arrived early, was well-packed, easy to assemble, and matches our polished ebony Yamaha Clavinova CVP-709 perfectly. I can attest to the comfort level as I sit at the piano for hours every day. No neck/back aches that I previously experienced. Thanks, CPS Imports for this fabulous product.

If you're comparing this to a $50 piano or keyboard bench, this destroys the competition. However, given the $200 price tag, I expect a little more.First off, the "pillow top" phrasing is a little misleading. The cushion is dense. By no means is this thing plush, which I don't mind. The cushion gives enough to play comfortably for a couple hours before my nerves start to yell at me, but remains sturdy enough to reinforce correct posture. No stars off for cushion comfort.Secondly, the adjustment knobs on each side of the bench, while they are a great addition, happen to be attached askew, so when I turn the knobs they look like a wobbling wheel. Again, that's both of them on either side. This makes it a little harder to turn the knobs to adjust the height.Along those lines, the upholstery work and craftsmanship are a little off. Lines aren't cut straight on the leather strip wrapped around the bench, there are gaps in the wood between the legs and the seat, and there are some scratches on the polished wood legs and perimeter. Granted this is a $200 bench and not a $500-$1000 bench, but given the summation of everything listed (especially the askew adjustment knobs), I have to take off a star.Lastly, there is no storage compartment. A few of this company's other benches offer storage compartments, but it seems there is no offering along with the "pillow top" seat. I would have really liked to have somewhere convenient to store my sheet music. I have to take off another star.If you are in the market for a piano seat or bench and you're comparing this to the "best sellers" in the $25-$50 range, spend the extra money and go with this upgrade. It's a fantastic bench that feels comfortable with solid construction. It will definitely last many years. It's a middle class bench with a middle class price (which is what I was looking for), if you're looking for a high class luxury bench, you'll have to spend high class money to get it.

Elegant and gorgeous. I was worried that "pillow" might have meant soft and easily flattened, but no. Sturdy, comfy, strong mechanism, balance adjustments on the feet.Be aware that the measurements are incorrect, as the height does not account for the thick padding. I find the minimum height is about 20", not 18.5" as claimed. I called and they sold me shorter legs that are a perfect match for $30. I believe they may take your original legs in trade.

I do not play piano myself, but I've purchased this bench for my fiancee who is a pianist. She says it's excellent and comfy and she's been using the bench since we got it.From my own perspective, the bench is sturdily made and it will last a long time. It also looks pretty good, especially for the price. It was also very easy to put together.

Recently I was looking for a good, affordable artist bench, and came upon this one. I decided to purchase it, shipping was quick - came well packaged. As for the bench, it is nice and firm, and comfortable for longer hours at the keyboard. It really looks great - the seat especially is very nicely made. Do remember to tighten the legs nice and tight, it's easy to assemble. It definitely has a high-end look, but at a good price. One more thing, the customer service was really great - they responded usually within the hour to my questions about assembly or the item, and were very accommodating.A+!
