In addition to towing, our product can be used for other applications such as any standard luggage rack, motorcycle carrier, cargo rack, etc. Another feature that sets the MEGA-DUTY apart from other hitches is the adjustability. The desired height of the attachments is adjusted by simply pulling a pin and moving the ball mount to that position. The hookup is simple and fast and also ensures that the trailer is being towed as level as possible. Our products are designed to be used in the drop or rise position, which provides even more versatility. The GEN-Y Mega-Duty gets the job done faster and can be adapted to almost any bumper style trailer and pintle style couplings.

However, there are a few things to consider when towing with a lifted vehicle. First, a long drop hitch (12" or more) will put added leverage on the vehicle receiver. In some cases, receiver hitch manufactures will then reduce ratings by as much as 50%. Secondly, a long drop hitch will typically create a lot more movement due to the added length and drop of the ball mount. Using the Stabilizer Kit (GH-0100) will tie the bottom of the GEN-Y adjustable drop hitch into the frame of the truck, therefore, taking the stress off of the receiver. The GH-0100 also prevents the bottom of the ball mount from moving, ensuring a safe towing experience.

Didn't fit in hitch receiver (2½) because a thick crackle paint job, had to grind it off to fit. 2 5/16 ball seems to be a little large, I have to hammer the ball lock on the trailer to latch, I don't have this issue with my older 2 5/16 ball.

I can't say enough about how much I like this hitch. The drop and rise are perfect for everyone of the eight trailers I own. I have a 26' triple axle trailer I build that I recently changed over to a 15" tire for more weight carrying capabilities resulting in a ball height needed that none of my other hitches would reach. This hitch filled the bill as well as making me feel safer using my F-350 2 1/2" receiver as it was intended without a reduction 2" insert. It also gives me the ability to never needing to mount another hitch as this one will cover everything. The addition of the Pintle hitch feature is a great addition but a little sloppy. To remedy this I cut a piece of old rubber garden hose, split it and wrapped it around the front of the trailer pintle before inserting on the hitch. This filled in the slop and cushions the pintle when stopping. Easy fix for an annoyance. This hitch is rock solid, weighs almost 60 lbs and is solid steel, not tube! I have towed 18,000 lbs without any problems up and down a 7 mile long 2200' high grade with my dozer and backhoes. Last hitch I will ever have to buy, unless someone steals it.

Awesome hitch! Very strong and makes it very easy to setup for trailers of different heights and tongue types! Only downside is the amount of slop (not sure if that is the right word) when using the pintle connection. Trailer hits more when starting and stopping vs using a hitch designed specifically for that purpose.

Ordered this to pull a 28’ trailer. This thing is very well built. Very heavy. If your looking for a sturdy hitch for your truck, this is it. I will recommend this product to everyone. My only petty complaint would be that I wanted it in a different color.
