You assemble this product upon arrival with a few screws. It’s easy to put together but the “wood” is not good quality so a chipped some of it while screwing things together. However, given the price I wasn’t expecting the best quality either- it gets the job done for not too much money. It’s nice and organizes records and fits easily beneath side table.

This is a really attractive storage unit! I'm a big fan of bamboo accent pieces. They're sturdy, have the same attractive warmth as wood, and are a great sustainable choice. This piece is a good blend of classic and modern styling, should go well in many styles of decor, and should be versatile for many things other than just vinyl. I really like the combo of bamboo with the ribbed acrylic panels. It would have been handy to have a second pair of hands during assembly, just to help keep things aligned and balanced while getting screws started, but I did manage okay on my own. The assembly process was fairly straightforward. The pieces were well-labeled and the diagrams were easy to follow. It helped to not tighten the screws fully until everything was assembled and all of the screws were partially inserted.A couple of the screws were a bit tough to get tightened down, took a good bit of force with the tiny allen wrench that was included. I was concerned that one or two screws weren't moving down the drilled holes straight, that they were going in at a bit of an angle and might split out the bamboo. In those two cases, I reversed the screws partway, then started in again, and everything went fine after that. Once everything was tightened down fully, the whole unit felt rock solid, nice and sturdy. It should hold up well over time.

My son is about to turn 25. He is an old soul for sure and loves older music. He likes anything from the 1940's on up. My dad left his extensive album collection to my three brothers and my son. My brothers took quite a few but my son got a ton of albums! He has also purchased quite a few along the way. He has way more than this holder will hold; however, it will go nicely on top of the 1950's console that my mother gifted to my son when she went into assisted living. She knew he would appreciate it and he did! This holder will hold several albums that he would like to display or that he plays often and if he really likes it (which I know he will) I will buy a couple more. I took it out of the box, which was well packaged, and put it together, which was easy to put together, and it is simple yet nice and sturdy. I can't wait to give it to him for his birthday next month!

I was excited to get this record storage box—I normally use a flight case for overflow from my shelves, but since the overflow is generally records I sell on Discogs, I regularly have to sift through them, and doing so with a flight case has been a pain. This is a far better solution for those looking for easy access to their records. There's an obvious trade-off in protection from the elements when compared to lidded or other enclosed options for storage of under 100 records, but it's worth it.Now, for this design specifically, I didn't deal with any curveballs. Assembly took literal minutes, and I upgraded my backup vinyl storage in no time. One hiccup, however, was that the plastic sheets constituting the front and back walls—they could be stronger. While they both got secured inside padded foam bags, one of the two sheets still arrived with a crack on its front (barely visible in the photo showing a Jim O'Rourke record).Ultimately, it's negligible to me, which is why I still gave this five stars: I kinda planned on covering the plastic panel with label/artist stickers, anyway. But I would both suggest the manufacturer consider other, stronger material options for these plastic pieces, and maybe even consider this as an opportunity to sell customized variants with different plastic panel colors. Otherwise, I'd just as soon reconsider the need for plastic parts entirely.

Product looks just like the pictures. Very pleased with. Has sturdy enough weight that I have no concerns of it tipping over and spilling out the contents.Assembly was a bit unwieldy as the cross supports that hold the clear panels were a bit fiddly. Trying to use the included Allen-key to tighten the screw, while holding onto the thin wooden piece so that it doesn't turn. And doing this on the second side, while trying to keep the plastic pane in place, without twisting the wood and snapping the plastic...not my favorite assembly of all time for such a simple piece. But once its done, it looks great.
