It wouldn't read the data. Maybe it was just me but I could get it to read. The power was on and off for this item. I have a pi 3 b+ had a fan going turned it off to make sure no power issues and nothing else plugged in. The light for power on the controller would come on and sometimes not at all when I tried to reboot. Wouldn't read any of the joysticks movements or buttons. It could be a bad board. It would cost more money in time and gas to do a return for this. Others got it to work but not me. I even went from the 3.3v to 5 volt pin just to be sure and yeah nothing changed. I am able to run a fan, 1 usb storage, and 1 usb wired controller normally and no power issues.

Worked great. I hooked up a Wii nunchuck to a robotic arm using code found online and for a change things went smoothly.

This is the easiest, best way to connect a Wii controller to an Arduino. You can connect the controller without cutting the cable. Then just unplug it from the Arduino and plug it back into the Wii. It works great.

Arrived safely and as described. Arrived in 2 weeks after ordering from China. The pin out wasn't clear at all.
