I bought this party although its more expensive because its label of heavy duty. It didn't last for even a year. I had to change it again and of course I lost all what is in fridge once more.

I was advised my 20 year old KitchenAid frig/freezer was basically a boat anchor (not worth trying to save). You can test a compressor very easily with a multi meter. Just check the 3 pins on the side of the compressor for continuity, one pair at a time. If there is continuity for all 3 pins, give this start relay/start capacitor replacement combo a try. If any compressor pin pair fails the continuity test, the compressor is bad, and the replacement will be too expensive to be worth the price of this part, let alone the price of replacing the compressor. I had a burned out condenser fan motor and the original start relay fell apart in my hands, while I was removing it. Replaced both and now everything is back in good working order. Saved myself about $2000 and didn't need a service call.I did get real lucky this time. It's a crap shoot with older appliances.

Sometimes a simple statement can mean more than a whole page of flowery words. My statement is, “Happy Doggie here!” Will buy from seller again.
