Love any product that includes a (high quality) carrying case. Everything feels professional down to the little accessories other brands usually cheap out on. I like how nice the stand adaptor is and that it has a slot to hold an umbrella, even my ginormous one. Works well with the Godox Bowens mount bracket. The bare bulb head is great for working with soft boxes to more evenly light them. The modeling lamp is much brighter than my V1 and with the ability to change the color temperature so you could even use a video light (though I wouldn’t recommend because of how fast the battery drains with the modeling lamp on a high power %) Overall just a great product for pro use, now a staple in my studio headshot kit.

The Godox AD200 Pro II comes in a lovely, compact case, making it easy to carry around and store. It’s lightweight and straightforward to use, with two flash heads included—a circular and a straight option—which adds flexibility. It’s also compatible with all major camera brands, plus it’s Bowens mount-compatible, which is a big bonus for me.This bundle doesn’t come with everything I’d hoped for. If you want the wireless transmitter, a Bowens mount, hood, stand, or even a diffuser, you’ll need to buy those separately. It includes only one battery, so consider an extra if you’re planning longer shoots. As you can tell, I like to get a lot for my money! The flash itself is an excellent upgrade from the previous model. The LED screen on the back is fantastic—crystal clear and readable even in bright daylight. There’s no mention of it being OLED, but it looks and performs like one. You can easily adjust the light’s strength and temperature, although, like many others, I wish it was app-controllable for quicker adjustments from a phone.Despite these minor drawbacks, the AD200 Pro II is a powerful, versatile, and highly portable piece of kit. I love the light quality and reach, making it a solid addition for anyone serious about photography. I highly recommended!

I have been an AD200 fan for years now. I've got three of them. They've been my workhorses. The Pro II addresses the only concerns I had with the original version. I lamented the lack of a modeling light on the bare bulb head but now it's got one. I typically use one in my on-site headshot kit as my hair light in a strip. Now I can preview the light fall. I tolerated the dimly lit display and now it's clear and bright. And, I'd occasionally find my battery depleted because the movement of the flash in my bag would operate the slide switch into the ON position. Now that it's a two-step operation to power on the unit, that will no longer happen. Thank You, Godox, for an indispensable tool only made better.

I’ve been “playing” with this flash for a few weeks now and every time I think I’ve found all the features, I find more. That said, I’ll give you my pros and cons that I’ve noticed so far.PROS-Everything is built well and of good quality.-The flash comes with a nice hard shell case with a good lining and form fit compartments to keep everything secure when not in use.-Small details are evident like ¼” wells on two sides of the unit, a battery terminal cap, a cable and plug power block, and a space for mounting an umbrella on the stand mount. For me, it’s the little extras that make Godox standout as a quality brand that I appreciate.-The stand mount attachment is made well and provides solid stability when on a stand. This is key as who wants to drop an expensive piece of equipment? As a side, you can purchase a Silicone Fender separately. I’ve already ordered one as I often take my equipment outdoors. I’m hoping this will help protect it (just in case).-Physically, the flash is a great size for toting with you, yet provides an amazing amount of light. It is versatile for both outside or studio work.-Strong power and super fast recycle time. I kept firing shots until I got bored and this flash didn’t miss one. Extremely reliable. Additionally, the battery lasted all day for me. I didn’t run out so I don’t see a need for a second battery at this time. I charge all my batteries in the evening so they are always ready for the next day. I’ve been using this for weeks and have had no issues with the battery. I also like that the battery has all the protections: overcharge, over discharge, short circuit, and over current. I feel better knowing that the battery should stay safe.-Wireless connection combines with my Godox X3C Trigger. This is absolutely the cream of the cream. I can control everything from this trigger and the flash responds perfectly to it.-Great on board screen if you are not using a trigger. It is easy to use and menus are easy to navigate.-It has TTL, Manual, and HSS. Additionally, you can do stroboscopic flash (Multi), front curtain sync, and rear curtain sync. I only started to learn stroboscopic flash and I’m having a blast with it. Having a reliable flash like the Godox AD200 Pro II is such a key element. I cannot express how much I appreciate the reliability. For those of you who were like me and had no name flashes and strobes and thought that brand name meant nothing, please think again. I cannot get over the quality and reliability difference. The money difference is justifiable and offsets the frustration level from using faulty equipment many times over. My eyes have certainly been opened.-The modeling lamp is bi-color and has adjustable brightness levels. To be honest, I haven’t used the modeling lamp much other than for light placement. I’m glad the features are there.CONS-It has a proprietary battery. This is not necessarily a bad thing given that the battery life is a very long time, but for me it’s one more different battery that I must make certain I have if I’m leaving the house with gear.-The instruction manual is fine, but could be a little more detailed for my taste. This may be because my experience level isn’t advanced like some.Overall, this is the hands down, by far, best flash/strobe I’ve ever owned. Definitely worth the investment and definitely recommended.
