seems to have good quality.I have several good lights. they all seemlike quality. all work together with a transmitter.affordable too. works great.color temp can be better.

Not only was the light obviously previously used with visible scuff marks, it also did not include the AC cable for the battery charger.

I took 2 of these to NYC for a fashion shoot and while they work great just like the larger AD 400 and 600 pro, the only problem I ran into is they overheat, this was in March so it wasn't hot out so I can guess that this is going to be a bigger issue shooting in summer.

Wanted to the godex to be amazing but in the end struggled to get the hi sync to work with my Nikon z6 ii, the shutter would not go over 1/200 sec after ages updating xt2n software and reading manual gave up . Back on the profoto b10 no problem with that .

After using Godox AD200 flashes for the past 4 years, enjoying their portability and power, this year I needed a little more power and decided to purchase the new AD300Pro.At the time of writing this, I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and I’m very pleased with the build quality, performance and power output of this new flash. I’ve used it coupled with a large softbox on a food photoshoot for a restaurant, and you can see example photos attached.The AD300Pro construction is a metal-plastic combination and the whole unit feels dense and heavy. Though while its build appears solid, I don’t feel like dropping it on accident as with so much electronics densely packed inside, it does still feel fragile.The setup is so simple and if you’re familiar with the Godox ecosystem, the unit pretty much works out of the box. All you need to do is set the group and channel to the same values on the flash and the trigger, and you’re good to flash.The unit only rarely misfires and has a quick recycle time. It is silent in regular use, but when you turn on the modelling light it activates a cooling fan which does make a little bit of noise. My guess is that working outside in hot sun will also activate the cooling system.The battery that goes inside is the same size physically as the WB29 used in the AD200, but it is a new model with a higher capacity to accommodate for the higher power output. Overall I would say the battery life is good, more or less the same as on the AD200. There is the added advantage of Cross-Compatibility – you can use AD200 batteries in this new AD300Pro unit, and vice versa.Although it is not as portable as the AD200 or AD200Pro, this is still a very portable unit and fits nicely in my camera bag. You could even fit it in the pocket of a larger winter jackets. The cylindrical shape of it is more alike to a tall can of beer (see image attached), with the rectangular bulge of the battery housing. Of course, for the optimal portability and power, I would still recommend the AD200 or AD200Pro.If you use Bowens modifiers and accessories, mounting the AD300Pro is not straightforward. Out of the box, the unit comes with a simple umbrella bracket mount, in fact the exact same bracket mount as the AD200Pro. There is however, no Bowens adaptor so you’ll need to purchase that separately. There are 2 options for mounting Bowens accessories and by far the best option is the Godox S2 Mount. It is simple, sturdy and feels like a perfect fit for the AD300Pro round shape.In summary, Godox AD300Pro is a solid all-round portable flash, and a great addition to the Godox family, sliding in between the very portable AD200 and its bigger brother AD400Pro. I’m very happy with its size and weight, as well as the overall performance and battery life.
