Came away pretty impressed by this Strobe. I've owned various different strobes for decades now and it's really nice to see features that used to cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars be imbedded in in a strobe that cost even less than the B400 Alienbee back 20 years ago. This strobe on a basic level works well. It's easy to adjust and the buttons make sense on the back. It even has slave and ttl slave mode. What I really like is it works with the Godox/Flashpoint triggers including the newest X3 triggers. This allows you to remotely adjust the power and trigger it quite accurately. In over 100 shots, there was only 1 time the strobe didn't fire for me and I think it was because the remote was in sleep mode. The only issue I saw with the SK400IIV is the size is annoying. It's pretty long and has a big butt from it's pivot point. If you are using this as your key light it's hard to read or access the buttons in the back if you have it tilted up. I rather much prefer how lights like the Xplor 600 has the interface on the side now. The size is large but it's also heavy and unwieldy. Okay in the studio on a stand, but not really great for portability. It works great with any Bowen mount accessory you have. I used it with the reflector and grid that comes with it, a soft box, and various other modifiers and they all worked fine. This isn't the greatest studio strobe I've ever used. But for what I was testing it for, and the fact that it's pretty much used to help me get images for Vine reviews...it's pretty perfect. At $152 at the time of writing this review it's an incredible deal.I will note that this was the second unit sent to me via vines to review, the first unit I received was damaged in shipment. The flash tube was broken. I don't think this was a manufacturers fault though there is a protective cover on the light so I have no idea how the flash tube broke.
