As others already identified, my heel does slip around a bit in the shoe. I really like the look of the shoe and it isn’t uncomfortable to stand or work in, so I made two changes. 1. I only wear wool socks with these shoes and that dramatically fixed the slippage with cotton or polyester socks. 2. I ditched the shoelaces and switched to leather laces. What a difference. Not only do they match the look of the boot really well, but they secure my foot much better in the shoe. I hope this helps someone out there.

Shoes are well made and material is good quality. Shoes are leather lined and that is an added benefit. No polyester! Tounge was stiff but treating the shoes with neetsfoot oil has alleviated that problem.

Very comfortable boot and stylish looking. Only be aware that the tongue will rub hard on your front side lower shin until it breaks in. Other than that I will purchase again.

I wore Red wing chukkas for 25 years as a Carpenter. (When they were affordable) Now every melennial and gen Z think they are cool and don't mind paying $300.00 for them. Its a joke. These are actually Better made boots. Made in the USA and have out lasted any RedWings I ever owned. More comfortable too. Highly recommend.

I was a big Georgia boot buyer. Golden Fox blows them away. Great quality. Great, fit and finish. Seem to be more durable. Can't say for sure yet, but they still really hold their shape and apart from being dirty look new.

These shoes are a good buy.The leather is good quality and the pig skin lineing is a quality touch. The toes are a bit pointy but it dosen’t change the fit….

I am please with my purchase. Like all boots, it takes a bit to break in, and these are not exceptions. That said, they fit well out of the box and are breaking in just fine. They are well made and the craftsmanship looks good. I swapped out the laces only as a preference, I like my Chukkas to hold tight. Treated and leather protected properly, I expect these boots to last quite a while. Good job Golden Fox !

This boot has supple leather and grippy laces. The build quality feels solid for the price. I don't really feel that I am getting a cheap boot despite paying 90$ for this pair. I have 3 main problems. The boot is true to size except for the toebox which is slightly small. The toebox has a hard toe cap that causes it to feel smaller than it is. It is just barely small enough to keep me from stretching my toes and if it was purely the soft malleable leather that is around the ankle of my foot it would be fine. The toebox is also longer than it needs to be. The pig skin lining is soft and smooth. It does cause the boot to be SLIGHTLY warmer than I would like. I don't have much if any experience with pu outsoles but this has just fine traction on smooth pergo floors but is slightly slippery on carpet. I tend to take issue with hard heel counters as this has and I can't say this is an exception. The hard heel counter just doesn't hug my heel enough to make for a solid, un-moving fit. The only other problem is that the outsole causes me to strike the ground with the balls of my feet first. I personally want to have the arch of my foot strike first and so this is not the most natural stride for me. I would certainly say this is not a boot that I would ever have to run in. IT may keep you a bit more stable while standing up and working but based on reviews it could be a bit more durable for work applications and the strike on the ball of the foot while walking causes me to not recommend for casual wear. Overall, this seems to be a light duty boot that can be worn in stylish applications as well. Perhaps not an every day boot.
