Pros: This roller seems to be fairly heavy duty. Nothing seems flimsy and it feels solid when pushing or pulling it. Assembly instructions are limited, but I found it very easy to assemble. Filled the drum with water, and no leaks.Cons: Even with the drum completely full of water, it is not heavy enough to level out some mole tunnels in my yard. I'm going to drain it and try filling with sand. It is already difficult to store when filled with water, but I planned on draining it. If filled with sand, it will be more difficult to empty and store.

Nice roller for the price. Lived with sandy soil so needed to top dress and flatten out high spots. Won't overly compact area if that is your concern.

Works great but the position of the fill hole is terrible in that when you go to drain it no matter which way you tilt / tip it, you can’t get the last few quarts of water out. Hence the inside will rust and deteriorate. Had to buy a gas siphon squeeze ball tool which was annoying to have to jerry rig a fix.

The tool is effective for compacting dirt. We’re using it to build the dirt portion of an apron for our garage slab.

This product is a piece of absolutely trash. I filled it with water and it leaks at the weld seems. It is made out of super thin metal and probably will rust out after putting water in it within a year. And I am talking about after draining it.

The roller works well if the ground is soft. It will knock down high spots if you keep rolling over them. It will not fill in low spots. It assembles easily but the bar that goes across the top to knock off mud had slots that didn't line up with the holes in the handle. Since I am rolling over grass mud doesn't stick, so I didn't put it on.
