the battery has an excellent life for the power it generates. I can blow off deck and driveway which is larger and still have battery to spare. Charger has a fan that runs when charging and turns off when fully charged. with battery pack it is a little heavy but not extreme .All in all an excellent blower

Works great and runs a long time on 1 charge. Powerful but much quieter than gas and way more convenient than my old plug in version.

Great blower. My mom can use it and she is tiny. Parents just love it, battery life is great!!!

Powerful but battery charge limits your use to about 20 minutes on high. Rather on the heavy side. Fast charger charges battery in 30 minutes. A little on the pricey side compared to other brands.

With its three speed make it very easy to use. I wish battery would have lasted longer. It is OK for small yard, unless I buy spare batteries.

Powerful blower, because we have so many leaves we need to use it at the max level and that works great but only lasts 20 minutes which we knew before we bought this, it is great that it recharges within half an hour, for me, being a woman, it gets pretty heavy after a while, 20 minutes is about my max also.

Bought this for my cottage. Powerful blower on the highest setting which can move waterlogged leaves. However battery does not last that long on this setting so you may want to get a second battery to allow more time.

I use a blower to clear leaves and debris from a 100' drive. I have always used a wired electric blower, and found that wrestling with the extension cords made it a hassle, so this unit promised to make my life simpler. It did. I have used it once. My impressions:PROS:1. It really works. High is powerful enough for you to feel pushed back by the tool. I found that the lowest speed was almost what my wired electric blower had delivered, and on a driveway was more than adequate to clear a moderate mess. It was clear that medium would be sufficient for serious debris. What was particularly nice was that by switching to high speed, I could clear the areas under parked cars in their long dimension. The result was that the total time it took to clear my drive, set-up to storage, was reduced by two-thirds.2. The battery life promises to be more than adequate. When I was done after ±15 mins., the battery still showed 3 lights (full or near-full charge).3. The charger is wall-mountable, a convenience.CONS:1. This baby is heavy. I had to switch hands from time to time, and forget holding it for any length of time except at full arm’s length. A shoulder strap would have been a useful addition. The very heavy battery actually sticks out to the rear, making the tool slightly back-heavy. You are therefore required to constantly be forcing the nose down. (I would have designed this with the handle moved slightly to the rear, changing the balance point.)2. You cannot store the battery in the charger in anticipation of future use so it will be fully charged and ready to be snapped into the tool when you need it. (Technically, you can leave the battery in the charger so long as the charger is unplugged . . . what good is that?) All of my battery-powered tool systems have chargers that fill the battery then automatically cut off when it is fully charged. That makes having the tool ready when you need it much simpler.3. The tool is large, and no means of storing it has been provided, e.g., a ring on the bottom or side to it can hung on a hook. I do not want to have take it apart each time I am done with it. And even without the battery installed, it will not balance on the blower tube. In the end, I had to drill a length of closet rod into a piece of 2x6 to create a stand the blow tube can slide over (sans battery).Bottom line: The pros far outweigh the cons. Most importantly, it does the job I bought it for.

After just three uses, the unit failed. Unfortunately, I waited two months to open the box and test it. I keep asking myself, why did I wait so long? At first, it worked wonderfully, and even better than I had expected. It fit my needs perfectly. Thereafter, the unit simply died. Since the 30 days to return the item had elapsed, my only recourse was to explore the warranty. I called GreenWorks and spoke with a very helpful representative in Customer Care. I explained the problem in detail and was told that the basic unit -- not the battery or charger -- had likely malfunctioned. It appears that I'll be taking it to a licensed repair facility -- about 35 miles from my home -- where it will be declared dead on arrival and replaced at some point under the warranty. Not particularly convenient, as the leaves and acorns become knee-deep in my driveway. I'm giving the item two stars -- one for the three remarkable experiences and another star for GreenWorks Customer Care. They tried to be helpful. We'll see how it goes from here.UPDATE:I raised my rating from two stars to four. I took my unit to the licensed repair facility, where it was fixed. As noted above, not very convenient, but the people in the repair shop were immensely helpful, courteous, and efficient. They returned the unit to GreenWorks and obtained a replacement, all under warranty and without any charge to me. The entire process took a few weeks. As it turns out, a switching device in the main unit was not operating properly -- and the charger may have also had a problem, so it was replaced. Since then, I'm back to loving this cordless leaf blower. It's relatively quiet, clean (no exhaust), and more than powerful enough for my yard and large driveway. The fully-charged battery lasts longer than I had expected, given my experience with other cordless yard devices. I'd give it the full five stars if the original hadn't been defective. So, here's the deal: if you get a good one on your first try, congratulations, you've got a very nice cordless leaf blower; if the one you receive is defective, plan on investing some time and effort in replacing it -- although, in the end, you'll also have a very nice cordless leaf blower. Good luck.UPDATE:I raised my rating again from four stars to five. My Greenworks leaf blower has worked flawlessly for over **five** years since it was repaired. I consider this purchase one of the best I've ever made on Amazon. It's in my Amazon Hall of Fame! Quiet and clean. Efficient and reliable. Who could ask for more?
