I ordered a few of these, all of the same color, and one container was drastically different colored than the others. Of course it was past the Amazon return window when I finally got the fire table installed, so shame on me.On first use, I had at least 3 or 4 of the beads explode in the heat. But, no others with repeated runs after that. I don't think they were dangerous aside from a few little shards, but you may want to not sit right next to it until it's gotten up to full temp once or twice.

The all blue glass nuggets I had were too blue- adding the black toned it down and it looks great. I wish I would have gotten them sooner.

So these look great but so many have exploded under fire I had to remove them all. They create glass shards and a dangerous environment. They say this can happen when there is moisture so maybe this isn’t a product that should be sold in Florida where there is a lot of humidity. It was a hot day and I keep my pit covered when not in use. So no excess moisture or rain water were in play. I have other glass rocks that do not explode so I’m thinking these are just a flawed product.
