I like the size, material, design and craftsmanship for every day use in campgrounds, the backyard applications as well as for urban and deep-woods survival. This is a good over-head cover, but I do not suggest using it as a ground cover underneath you or your equipment.

Excellent tarp and kit for backpacking! Kept me nice and dry in a rain storm, and perfectly covered my hammock. Not too big, fits in my pack, and isn't prohibitively heavy. Definitely recommend.

It's a perfect fit for my hammock and seems to be a good material, attachment points at solid. No complaints

At almost three pounds, I don't see taking this backpacking. But I don't backpack camp, I usually car camp or motorcycle camp. Weight notwithstanding, this tarp is very sturdy and it is quite a generous size. With lots of connection points, it can be used with or without a ridge line, and would make a great hammock rain fly, tent substitute, or a weather guard.I think what you have here is a pretty nice tarp using old technology to achieve strength and waterproofing. That makes it a much heavier than a modern style nylon tarp that is equally as waterproof and surprisingly strong. But, it is also quite a bit cheaper than a modern waterproof nylon tarp, and would be a good option for car camping.

This polyester tarp is the real deal! I was looking for a tarp that would work for shade and rain protection over a picnic table and this one checks all my boxes. Mine came with everything needed to use it as a canopy, complete with 6 heavy duty stakes, ropes, and carry bag. I measured the tarp and found it to be 10 feet wide by 10 feet long, so it meets the advertised dimensions.I really like the gromets and tie downs. The design has tie down points at each corner as well as along the middle, these ties down locations are great and provide ample options for securing the tarp when we use it as a canopy.Workmanship is well done; all the seams are sealed and reinforced. This tarp is high quality and built to last. The tarp material is heavy duty and has noticeable weight, so it will not be going in our back packs but is well suited for our primary needs when car camping.
