I have always wanted a kaleidoscope like this.This is pretty and the colors and patterns it makes are very beautiful and mesmerizing but there are some issues with this.1- I thought it was going to come with a wood stand like the photo but it does not, this is my fault for not reading the description but I wanted to mention it in case someone else thinks that it is going to be the case. It does come with a nice box to keep it in but that doesn't allow it to be displayed which is what I was hoping to do.2- There are some bumps in the brass around the colored pieces that make it look like was made in a rush and there wasn't attention to detail which you would think there would be considering the price.3 - The rod part seems cheap. It reminds me of faux painting. I think they were going for a brass patina but it just looks cheap.

After a lot of searching, I'm very pleased to have found this Kaleidoscope. Beautiful inside and out. Seemingly endless variety of changing designs. Brilliant stained glass colors. A grown-up caliber kaleidoscope to delight a grown kid who once loved these toys. Lovely box and nicely packaged, promptly delivered.
