These are thicker than I thought. I didn’t get these to use in candle making but thought they might be good for bead storage. I can easily apply a semi-permanent label on top to identify them and they stack great inside a bigger storage bin.

I always like to keep an assortment of these pretty standard 8oz tins on hand, to give out for "samples" to my reviewers when trying a new scent. I find they are just large enough to fill a small room in a house, and yet the width makes them fairly easy to wick with a variety of cotton and wooden wicks. These seem to be exactly the same as the last batch I bought on Amazon, even though from a different brand, so it made wicking simple. They are solidly made, and none were deformed in any way. Additionally, the 4 oz tins come smartly packed, nested inside of the 8oz to minimize shelf space needed. The 4oz tins look perfect for samplers to give or sell at a low price. All in all, these are well made, and their typical dimensions make them easy to work with. Recommended if you're in the market.* The wife often steals these tins for her craft room to hold small decorative items she uses in card making - perfect size and high enough quality to use as home organizing tins if needed. I even used one last summer to store leftover homemade seasonings for my grill area.

I just got these today and I just have to give them 5 stars! They are a good weight and very nice to look at! I've gotten back into making candles so my plan was to use them for candles. I will use them for candles but after seeing them and handling them, I can see all kinds of uses for them. They will be great for holding all the little items I have for making cards and other items that use little pieces. It would be useful to be able to see what items are in the tins for storage but I can solve that by gluing one on the lid, sort of like a handle but just for identifying the items. The price point is reasonable.

Nice little do-it-yourself candle tins. Nothing to write home about, mind you. But adequate. They're not super substantial...the metal is pretty thin and will dent easily. Though none that I pulled out appeared to have been dented in transit. I'm disappointed with the lids. But it's my fault. I missed the picture that shows the lids are the same thin tin as the jars, I thought they were solid...at least fake wood was what I expected. But they're not. They're the same thin tin as the rest of it. Just has a wood-grain tin lid. The whole reason I got them was for what I thought was solid wood-like lids. I usually just don't read sufficiently when I'm disappointed by a product.Nothing more really to say about these. Except, another thing I didn't know about them is that there are two different sizes. 12 larger ones and 12 smaller ones that fit inside the larger ones. Helps with the shipping I'm sure. I took pictures to show the difference in sizes. It does say in the title that there are two different sizes. Doesn't bother me...both are decent sizes for candles.Anyway, I suppose I'd recommend these if you're a candle maker and you just want an inexpensive option to pour a few rounds of wax in...as gifts or something. I suppose if you had a really nice label, you could skirt by with selling these with candles in 'em. Though you wouldn't be able to charge as much. Like I said, they are super thin.

Ordered these to hold small craft materials. They arrived packed well, and individually wrapped, with the smaller containers within the larger ones. They are sturdy construction and the paint finish is even throughout all pieces. The lids fit tightly, but still open easily. They are also stackable, which allows for them not to take up too much counter space.

These arrvied SUPER fast and well packaged. I appreciated that they already had the smaller size inside of each of the larger sizes so that they don't take up much space till you are ready to begin your candle making. The sizes are perfect for candles or even candies and such. The lids seal well and the quality of the metal feels nice in your hand. The texture of the black is perfect for adding stickers or decals. I was hoping the top would be a wood top and it is metal with a faux wood print, but that's ok and it still functions nicely.Here’s my rating scale for products:1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again.2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better.3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can't find an alternative. Some issues need to be addressed.4 Stars: Recommend purchase. I love having an option for 4 oz and 8 oz candles for friends and family, and have darker/masculine scents I just created so wanted a dark colored tin and these were PERFECT! I use a thin wood wick that crackles for it and it doesn't overheat- I however would recommend placing this tin on top of a coaster while burning as the tin itself gets a little warm.The lid is easy to take off but slides on seamlessly; it keeps the scent in the candle very well so when you open the tin you get a GREAT cold throw.The color is consistent through the tin and did not scratch off. Feels high quality and looks great! I would recommend.
