Thirty years ago in Salisbury, Connecticut, proprietor of the historic White Hart Inn, John Harney, developed a passion for fine teas. Starting production out of his basement in 1983, John began his own journey in mastering the craft of tea blending. Serving his distinctive blends to inn guests, he soon found they were coming back for more. Never did John Harney imagine that his small home-run business in Salisbury, Connecticut would turn into a global operation. The company, which sources, blends, and packages their own product from start to finish, has grown from their original six teas, to more than three hundred. Harney and Sons was founded on a commitment to deliver customers the finest quality tea possible. This promise, made 30 years ago, serves as the company's guiding principle. Whether through their dedicated customer service team, their published guides to tea drinking, or their two tea tasting shops, the Harney and Sons team works to pass on their passion of tea to a wide audience. Harney and Sons remains committed to delivering their customers a superior tea drinking experience.

The first complaint is the packaging of the individual tea bags. They are huge, they don't fit into tea holders or tea boxes very well. I have never seen a packaging for 1 teabag so big. Very unnecessary. The smell is a little sweet but something in there is not good. I've tried this hot and cold. There is a little tartness but it's not smooth or pleasant to drink. My daughter loves these types of teas with tartness, or fruit, and she said something was off putting and didn't like it. I wouldn't buy again.

Good tasting oolong tea with light fruit flavor. Flavor is natural not artificial.

Tea is the least expensive item that one can keep in their pantry to offer whenever someone comes to visit. I LOVE tea! Learning to drink tea straight black without milk nor sugar has been a journey. These teas are made to drink that way. I imagine that this tea would taste great iced but I drink it hot. I have been treating most foods and beverages like medicine lately because that is the only way to get the results that I want. I think honey and lemon would take good in this tea but as is works fine. I get between two or three cups out of these tea bags.

I purchased this with the idea of tasting pomegranate. I was initially disappointed when the taste was so faint. As I got more involved in teas, I noticed that it was oolong scented with pomegranate. I quickly changed my opinion. It is an excellent oolong with a hint of pomegranate. If you were as disappointed as I was, give it a try again with the thought of oolong being the dominant taste. Trust me, you will love it.

When I first opened the pouch that held the sachet of this tea, I was pleased that the fruity aroma was so strong. Unfortunately, it didn't transfer quite so strongly to the tea once brewed. I've just inspected the sachet and I see a lot of tea leaves but not much else. I suspect the pomegranate comes from "natural flavors" rather than actual pieces of pomegranate (or dried pomegranate seeds), but Harney & Sons is secretive about their ingredients, so it's hard to say. (I spent quite a long time looking for a complete ingredients list and didn't find one.)I do think the oolong is nice. It doesn't get bitter even with long steeping times. I love the sachets and being able to see the nice, large tea leaves (no powder!). I'm drinking it without milk or sweetener; I think it would probably work well with a little honey or agave nectar, though, if that's your preference.I'd say this would be best for someone who wants a hint of fruity flavor in tea without an overpowering fruity taste.
