My family had a fun time carving pumpkins with this kit. The smaller tools really allowed for fine detail work. Even if you’re not artistic (like me), you’ll still be able to carve a decent pumpkin.

Just now getting to reviews these, but it is a nice set for the price. The stencils are a nice addition. They seem pretty sturdy and held up when we carved multiple pumpkins.

This is easy for kids to use but be careful when trying to carve a bit deeper because the tools do bend slightly. Aren't sharp enough or kids to hurt themselves on thankfully.

I've been carving pumpkins for years with a small plastic kit that I bought at a local grocery store. As far as I could tell, it's worked well, at least well enough for the carving that I do. However, I've started carving more complex designs, and I'm finding it difficult to work with the toolkit I have. I started looking around for a better one, when the HAUSHOF Pumpkin Carving Tools came across my data feed, and I decided to give it a try. My impressions:- Wow! These tools are awesome! The handles are heavy plastic, and the tools themselves are a thick metal, not the thin plastic or metal in cheaper kits.- There is a wide variety of tools, so you can cut deep through the pumpkin shell, or shave shallowly to give more delicate shades.- The carrying case helps keep the tools together. Unfortunately, it's not big enough to contain the included stencil templates, so you'll need to carry those separately.- Speaking of the templates, you'll probably end up not bring them anyway. The templates are so simple that most of them can be done with just a household spoon and knife; no need for the precision tools included in this kit. You'll be better off downloading a template to use.Overall, I'm very excited about using this toolkit. With Halloween fast approaching, I'm planning to try some reasonably complex patterns and see how they turn out with these tools. Recommended for the pumpkin artist, even if you're just casual, like I am.

I have been doing fairly intricate stencil carvings for years now. Decent tools make all the difference. This is a pretty great kit containing just about everything you would want.This kit comes with a nice punch tool which is essential when doing complex stencil carvings because you'll be punching a LOT of holes. Also includes two good mid-sized carving saws. The scraper is "ok" but I would prefer something stronger for really scraping the inside of a pumpkin clean.This kit also includes tools to allow you to do some fancy pumpkin sketching and pumpkin sketching by not cutting all the way through.The only thing this kit is missing is a very small fine saw. The more complicate designs need one. However, that can be obtained separately and added to this great base starter kit.The included stencils are pretty basic but a nice place to start. You'll need to copy them before using them if you want to carve the patterns more than once.

Good tools make all the difference. After countless years of grocery store kits, it’s refreshing to have well made, adult size carving tools. We’re a scoop and saw kind of family, so the additional tools will require some creativity on our part to use, but everything is sturdy and easy to grip. The carrying case is great too for keeping everything together for the other 364 days of the year. Great value, great design.
