So the lines to my inground pool skimmers both got leaks and I couldn't use them this year. I bought this and attached it to the existing skimmer with 2 brackets and it has worked great this year until I can get some new underground lines run.

We just installed this product yesterday. It was a bit cumbersome and scary to install as you have to cut a hole in the side of your pool. There was one connection that was missing to tie it into the current pipe. But overall, this product works well.

I bought this to upgrade my vinyl pool because I get sick of sweeping/netting it all the time. I have bought this twice. The first one I accidentally broke the pipe (that I had glued into the bottom of it) by running into it with my mower. I couldn’t get the broken pipe out because it was glued. I loved it so much though that I bought another one. I had pipe in the bottom because I added a valve shut off. I kept the valve shut off but did not glue it this time! The skimmer works great. Honestly, I love it. Was skeptical the first time I bought it about cutting the hole in my vinyl liner, but I’m so glad I did. It makes my life so much easier. Plenty of videos on YouTube on how to install it. I suggest putting it on and cutting your liner last, which all the videos I watched also recommended.

Added this to our Coleman above ground pool. The skimmer does a fantastic job. It cleared the pool up in about 15 minutes to a thing of beauty. The skimmer sits at a slight angle on our pool because the sides of the pool slope inwards. Setting the water level about an inch below the top of the skimmer allows the water to flow into the skimmer properly and avoids air pockets in the pump. Installation was a little tricky. Instructions could be improved. There are several videos online of different install approaches. It’s a good idea to watch them all first. Be sure all the screws are tightened properly and the gaskets are flattened out. I had to disassemble and re tighten the inner screws. No leaks on the second try.

Very easy to assemble! The screw heads are a bit weak, they strip when/if you try to screw/unscrew a second time. I had trouble fitting the vinyl lip that keeps the water in (Not the product's fault, I have an old pool).Very beautiful result, and the plastic is sturdy. Very happy about it!

We got this to convert our above ground pool from a cheap pump to a sand pump and wanted a real skimmer. Searching the description to see which one we needed to fit our 1.5 hoses. It was not clear the output dimensions on this one and when we got it it appears to be 2.5 maybe? 3? There was a screw in barb and the bottom is threaded to fit 1.5 hoses but the other end is not threaded for 1.5 so we had to cut the end off the pool hose and use clamps and silicon tape. The pool hoses are corrugated so the clamp mostly works. ITs a very nice skimmer otherwise and was very easy to modify the pool wall to install it. 5* if they fix the description to be clear on output size OR add a threaded 1.5 insert for the bottom.
