Do not buy it.I thought I would rather save money by buying this non-brad lens hood rather than the pricier Nikon one...wrong decision. It does not fit securely to the lens, I realized of it when I noticed it fell off from the lens, walked back 100 meters looking for it, did not find it. Worst purchase I have done here. I just placed an order for the genuine Nikon lens hood.

Did not fit securely on my Nikkor 18-300, as I discovered when the cap fell off my lens when I was 300 feet up in a clock tower in Prague.

I'm a dirt track racing photographer and this works great with the lighting from the cars. In dirt racing from getting into wrecks and all the cars get smashed up sometimes making the glares bad on the cars from the sun but this helps me to get that under control and make the photos look more colorful and vibrant.
