This HDMI to VGA adapter is designed for converting HDMI signal to output on VGA display devices like monitor or projector. Simply connect the HDMI end with your laptop or PC and then link it to the display device via a VGA cable. The screen will extend to the VGA display directly, no extra driver is needed.

Note
This is an HDMI to VGA adapter and it is not bi-directional, only transfers signal from HDMI source devices to VGA displays or monitors.
When your source device can supply enough power, you don't need to connect the power cable. If not, for example when connecting the Blue Ray or PS3 to an VGA monitor, please connect the power cable to a USB port on your device for additional power.

This HDMI to VGA adapter works very well with my recently acquired Sony VAIO. I hooked it up to my VGA monitor and connected the audio to my amplified speakers. Great Video and Audio.

I bought a used Dell monitor that connects to a computer via VGA cord. I have a 4-port HDMI adapter with three ports already used and is connected to my MacBook Air M3 through a Thunderbolt/USB 4 port. This VGA-to-HDMI adapter with external power is perfect for making the connection to my computer via the 4-port adapter. The VGA-HDMI adapter effectively converts an analog signal into a digital signal. Thus, the result is that I have an old analog monitor that shows the same high quality picture as my three HDMI monitors. (I have four external monitors plus the laptop screen.) I haven’t connected the audio cord as I don’t need it but it comes with the adapter for those who need it.

I got a semi old monitor from marketplace for free along with some other connections from another person also free and got this and connected my ps4 to the monitor and since then it’s been great

Nice quality adapter. Works well and seems sturdy. Video quality is actually 1080p and appears very crisp on the spare monitor on my desk. My only complaint the cables for audio and power that came with it are very short and kinda cheap. They’ll suffice for now but will probably need replaced before long.
