Had problems with binding when installed and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Took it to a bike shop and was told this was for a road fork. Don't know what the difference is but I removed the one on my old fork and installed it on my new fork and it did in fact solve my problem. Might be ok for road bike applications.

May not be compatible with all lower headset bearings, but worked with mine
