I like almost every aspect of this Gyfent Heat Gun! It heats with pinpoint accuracy and has functioned flawlessly during every task I have completed while using it. It's lightweight and sized to fit the hand well, and the price can't be beaten for a tool such as this. The one drawback that I have discovered while using this otherwise excellent heat gun is the way in which the temperature is adjusted. In a world where we are all used to 'instant' gratification, this item falls short when adjusting the heat setting. It's sheer agony waiting for this product to cycle up from 100 degrees Celsius to 500 degrees Celsius. I would prefer that it was more intuitive when altering temperatures, such as starting with ones place, then cycling to tens place and finally hundreds place when holding the heat-adjustment button for a set period of time. For example, 2 seconds would move the temperature in single digits while 3-5 seconds would move it in double digits, while 6 or more seconds would move it in triple digits. To my mind this would be ideal, rather than waiting endlessly for temperature adjustments. The unit heats up faster than the time it takes to adjust the temperature. Only the fact that the product 'remembers' the previous heat setting, regardless of power state, alleviates this minor annoyance.Despite the drawback described above, I still think this product is a very solid five stars, hands down. I really like the various nozzles, which focus heat precisely where its needed, making jobs fast and easy. The temperatures too, are extremely accurate. I measured it against a sensitive temperature sensor, and found the rated temperatures to be within a tolerance of plus or minus two degrees Celcius. You really can't go wrong purchasing this outstanding heat gun. It is everything the product description claims, and more!Absolutely recommended!!.

This is a nice, little heat gun that works well on our small tile pouring projects. It heats up quickly and produces enough concentrated heat to complete the job we need it to do. It is more of a beginner /small project heat gun. Larger projects/tasks may cause it to overheat. We use it only as a heat gun.

Very satisfied with the purchase. The only issue: a nozzle connection isn't tight and the nozzles should be squeezed before mounting on the gun to get secure connection.

I got this to work on some SMD for repairs or salvage. So far it's worked well enough for this task. It's not going to give you a massive area but is a really targeted application for precision heat gun. Overall happy with getting this to help with the delicate stuff on a PCB.• 800W heater, gets to temp rapidly• Target temperature is nice, but difficult when needing to use different temps, i.e. going from high to low takes time• Adjusting temperature takes time, there's no easy way to adjust in the 10's or 100's for example.• Nozzles are nice, but difficult to keep on if using tool by hand. One kept falling off, needed me to bend it a little to tighten up• Cooling feature is welcomed, unit will stay on for several seconds to cool off internals.• Good amount of airflow with a locked fan speed, just enough for targeted applications as expected but not too much for larger area

Heat guns are one of those things that you don't realize you've always needed until you finally get one.If you've ever spliced two wires together - Heat shrink tubing - Heat gunIf you have flashlights, headlamps, or tool packs with 18650s - Battery wraps - Heat gunIf you've ever had a swollen capacitor kill electronics - Soldering - Heat gunIf you ever need to accelerate paint drying on a model - Heat gunIf you've ever worked with resin and need to pop bubbles or quickly cure - Heat gunYou get the ideaThis heat gun is awesome. It heats up fast, includes a stand and a ton of various tips, and has an extremely wide range of temperatures. I don't have a probe to measure its accuracy, but it's a wide enough range that this should be able to handle any small job you need.It is not for drying the paint on your living room walls or anything, but for quick, small jobs, it's a perfect addition to any toolbox. The only downside, in my opinion, is that setting the temperature is annoying. It starts at 100°C, so adjusting it up to 500°C (for example), requires you to hold down the temp-up button for quite some time, and it rapidly beep the whole way there. It remembers that temp for next time, even after unplugging the unit, so it's not a constant annoyance, I just wish the beep would stop if you're holding it down. Also, I had some of what looked and smelled like machine oil burning off some of the tips when I used them for soldering, so maybe clean the parts with soap and water before using.I used this to repair a sound bar that swells capacitors and dies every year or so, and it worked amazingly well. I couldn't quite get the hang of the included solder sucker, but I didn't end up needing it anyway, so no big deal. Then I used it to re-wrap some 18650s and couldn't be happier.Into my toolbox it goes. It's a great little device.
