Order these to keep in the back of my Honda. Definitely important to make sure you get the right size. Open these up and they are pretty solid and sturdy. Decently heavy. But can definitely expect that with James. Plan on keeping these in my car during winter and snow travel in case they are needed.

I have a Volvo and these did not work well for me. I checked to make sure I had the correct size, but the large chains somehow got tangled with the small chain, which took forever to untangle. Then seemed to be functions on and were like normal, but I had a very hard time tightening them. Taking them off was the real snafu. They kept getting stuck in the wheel well and I would not consider them easy to install.

While these showed up after the snow plows had already come, I did do a quick size test and they fit as expected. The on and off was pretty easy to accomplish.The chains look and feel like they are high quality. I feel like they will work as expected, however, if they don't, I will update my review.The thing about snow chains is, you hope to never need to use them, but they nice to have on hand. The case is really compact, so you don't have to worry too much about taking up room in your rig. Since the case is quite tightly packed (but not like a tent, the chains do easily go back in their case), you don't have to listen the chains rattling or clinking around.

This tire chain set appears to be well-made and designed. I have not been able to test it out on snowpack but have test fitted it and it fits well on a 235/45/18 tire. I have had a set of continental tire chains in the past. I would rate these about equal to those but for a better price! The construction is very duty and the chains are exceptionally thick compared to some other ones I have seen. This is a must have part in the winter time living near and around the Sierras. You never know when the next foot of snow will arrive.

I have installed many types of chains on SUVs and Trucks, and the design of these chains are much easier to install due to the ring that drapes over the back of the tire and connects via a unique fitting. The chain links are significantly smaller than the chain links I am accustomed to using. For me the small links have pros and cons. On the pro side, I think smaller links are an advantage when wheel well clearance is restricted. On the con side, I do not know how the small links Impact durability. I do look forward to trying these chains out on the road when road conditions warrant, since I think they will be much easier to use.

These are good quality and work well. Haven’t had to use them in rough weather yet, but these will hold up. The video on the product page is helpful, but installing in dry, warm weather is way different than when you really need them. These are simple enough, but don’t count on three minutes. Nice snow chains and glad I have them.

We need to carry chains when it's required for going over some mountain passes. Otherwise we don't use them. So we didn't try putting them on our tires yet, but I'm confident that with the instructions it won't be too hard to do if and when we need to. I can tell from their look, feel, and weight that these are quality chains. They come in a nice compact storage case that also contains a pair of work gloves and instructions. The HKN140 size I got fits the 235/65 R17 tires on our Chrysler Pacifica.
