Poor performance , also doesn't open wide enough, snaps did not close properly, crushing the post unevenly, disfiguring the snap making it unable to fasten the snap. Basically ruining a pair of leather pants I had been working on for a few weeks...frustrating

I love using this when making bags. I used to be Leary about bag patterns that included rivets, but using this tool I can punch through several layers of fabric, including leather, to install rivets.

This snap tool is so great. I’ve tried the tapping method to apply snaps and needless to say hardly anything around here has a snap on it.Snap tool is so easy to use, I’m now wondering what else can I put snaps on. Do pay close attention to how you apply them, because if you mistakenly put the wrong parts together it’s a devil to get off to correct your mistake.Practice on scraps not just jump in like I did.It’s a handy dandy tool, you need one even if you don’t think you do. So many possibilities for all of us do-it-yourselfers out there.

What can I say, it did exactly what I needed it to do. Opened packed swapped Die pieces and pressed a new cap on my pouch. All in less that 5 minutes. Now on to more projects.

I own and manage two Airbnb's and was tired of replacing and throwing away perfectly good duvets, because the zippers broke each time I sent them to the cleaners. So I thought it would be a good idea to install snaps instead of buying new duvets with snaps instead of throwing them away. The item arrived on time, packaged nicely, the pliers are made of quality steel, durable with firm non-slip silicone covers on the handles, and changing out the parts are very easy. Also, the snaps that come with the pliers are of good quality as well. The space in between the pliers where you put the snap could use a lot of improving. Trying to keep the snap pieces in place to create the finish product is extremely difficult, not a good device for people with arthritis, fat fingers or long nails. I actually would have sent it back if I wasn't pressed for time. With that said, it wasn't a good fit for me, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work for you. I took off a star for the difficulty in keeping the snaps in place.
