Nicely made, but too wide for named fit of JT3 and MT3. If it fit, it rates a 5.

This product is unusable for jt33 as delivered. Had to grind close to 1/4” of both pieces for them to work. They work great once modified. They are much too thick as delivered.

I used these to remove the chuck from my late father’s 1950’s vintage Delta drill press. I used a bench vise with these wedges on the spindle-chuck assembly — had to apply heat (propane torch) and torque it with both hands before it came free. Slightly terrifying but ultimately effective.

Gotta have these if you have a drill press. Makes it easy to quickly remove your chuck if you need to. Any other method runs the risk of damage!

They worked perfectly. Not a lot you can say about such simple devices.

This pair of wedges removed my JT33 drill chuck, mounted on a Chinese drill press, in about 10 seconds. Easy to use, well-packed, inexpensive, durable, and very effective. They fit around the arbor easily, and a tap with a machinist's hammer once on each end of the pair dropped the drill chuck.Highly recommended

Needed a taper and found these. They are quite big so check the clearance for thickness.

Wedges were way too thick to use them as intended. I was lucky to get one in position. It just barely fit. However it was not a straight forward operation since using one wedge meant you were applying sideways torque. Additionally the distance between the two wedge prongs was much larger than needed to fit the arbor.

These well made, heavy duty wedges were used to remove a large JT3 drill chuck from its arbor. All other removal methods had been unsuccessful. A light coating of extreme pressure grease was a applied between the taper & to the flat sides of both wedges. A 20 ton hydraulic shop press was used to force the wedges together, successfully & safely separating the chuck from the arbor. This task required 2 people. One held heavy shop rags around the chuck & arbor while the other operated the press. If you have adequate space to install these wedges, I highly recommend them for their performance & cost.
