It is recommended to use Stove Bright primer before painting items for outdoor use, and Stove Bright prep and cleaner for indoor items.

I have not sprayed the paint because I'm afraid to. Was looking for a purple pink shade and the can lid which supposedly indicates the color in s an unattractive brown, not even purple.
