I bought this to plug it in, but it turned out to be a battery operated unit. I decided to try it anyways, and it works so well and simply that I’ve decided to keep it. I don’t have to leave it on, only when I’m checking and testing and adding water transfer. So the battery should last for a while. Get tired of it I can always just drop a couple of cables into the battery compartment one of the negative one of the positive and just run into a DC plug to plug it into the wall. But I’ll check and wait and see what happens with all this.Unit was accurate up to my blue labs trencheon. I actually get two digits, instead of just 6.0 I can now see 6.05. It’s nice to know whether the nutrients are going upwards or downwards within that range. Nothing more than that. But I like it.The sensory leads are a little bit short. I had to mount it so far down the tent that I just pull it off and lift it up to look at it. So it’s a nice magnetic clip on that is strong. Easily removed and put back.It’s accurate. It’s small well built well lit and comes with a good amount. Nothing to complain about other than short censor leads. I haven’t checked, but I’m sure you could lengthen them yourself if you wanted to.

Well built unit, but when there is no water passing through the probes on the outgoing side. The digital display fluctuates from zero to over 5.5 PPM…Tested the water with a handheld unit and there’s no fluctuation in the reading.

Much better quality than expected! Reads the same as my hand held TDS meter. Seems to be solidly built. Great addition to my RO system. Would purchase again.
