Thick glass and well made! It works well for making mead or wine or beer! I love these glass jugs although cleaning is a pain. Make sure you have the right brushes for cleaning!

Too soon to tell but if it works I will be the hit of the town. My husband is so excited. Te air lock needs to be glass. In order to have optimal sterilizing but the plastic seems sturdy

Made a gallon of muscadine wine with is. Turned out great. Going to make strawberry wine as soon as strawberries are in season locally.
