Figured I'd wait a couple years before reviewing this - so many things fail within a few short months but this one is still going strong even though it regularly sees some dramatic temperature extremes. I used it as a replacement safety switch for the ceramic glass cover of my gas fireplace. Honeywell is a solid brand, which is much more than can be said for most of the other similar stuff sold here. As with so many other things, the work and aggravation involved in pulling something to bits to replace a part far exceeds the cost of the replacement part itself. At $8 this thing is cheap enough - always better to do it right than do it over...

The switch fit great with just a little modification.So when I plug in the oven I had no power.I thought for a minute then I open the door ? the powerturn on. So the switch in common man terms.It is power off with the lever pushed in, andpower on when the lever is released.

This micro switch is what is on my lawnmower. This replaces Briggs & Stratton part number 49942. this item is $20 cheaper than the one that comes with metal mounting bracket. All you need is a M2.5 or M3 bolt with a nylon locking nut found almost anywhere. The natural state of micro switch must be in NC when the lever is pushed down is goes NO which grounds out the mower and stops the spark.
