These were purchased as a replacement for the older style 160mm Hope floating disc rotors (which worked perfectly when used with Avid BB7 Mtn calipers). I wanted a larger diameter system for touring. However Hope has changed the design and size of the rivets on all of their rotors. The rivets holding the hub to the outer rotor rub the caliper. To achieve no hitting/rubbing, I tried adding washers/spacers and only when I got up to 4mm did the rotors quit hitting the calipers. BUT the major down side of adding spacers causes less pad to touch the actual rotor so less breaking power. I would not recommend Hope rotors with the Avid BB7 or G2 brake calipers. I gave it 2 stars because I wouldn't say I hate it just that it didn't fit my application and because of the added time it took and expense to get my trike up and running as well as Hope's response. I have contacted Hope, but their response was (1) we don't test other company calipers to ensure compatibility, (2) these work best with our brake system and we'd recommend buying our system. Hope brake systems are not readily available in the US, and they are not mechanical setups but rather hydraulic only.
