gives a little more speed, durability and performance. I recommend to get this and get rid of plastic diff even though it may hold up for time being its good replacement so you have no worries, Make sure to locktight it i used orange/removable and cranked on screws, assemble everything dry and than add diff oil or lube and you wont have leaks

Took my time installed in a rpm transmission case ,it's held up well. No leaks ,no issues seems like it hooks up better but also may be the diffentral fluid opposed to the grease in the factory one. Also running a vxl3s on 3s lipo, and it's so fast it doesn't want to stay on the ground 54mph.So it has held up to several 30 min bashing runs no issues.

Used the entire Hot Racing System... Gearbox, locker and planetary gear. Goes together well. Check set screws on locker and make sure they are tight if using that part too.

I’ve bought this once already and now I’m buying it again. Let me be really clear here: If you build this correctly, it WILL NOT LEAK.- Build it dry first and check the diff action.- Use team associated green slime on all the o-rings. Make sure the o-rings are seated correctly before sealing things up.- Don’t overfill with diff fluid.- Make sure you use the two small shims in between the gears on the output shafts.- Blue 242 loctite is fine, but I prefer Vibratite VC-3. Just make sure to let it set up on the threads for 15 minutes before installing the screws.- Tighten screws a little at a time in a cross pattern.- I used my first one with 30k fluid for a year. Just opened the transmission and with the exception of the light layer of moly grease on the metal gears, it was clean as a whistle in there. NO LEAKS.

So got the diff and as some others have said it did leak out of the screw holes. But if you put some time and thought into how you seal it, it wont lack at all.Best advice is to assemble the whole thing with your preferred oil. Torque it all down. Than 1 by 1 remove a screw, clean with brake cleaner including spraying out the threads on the diff and screw. Apply some silicone rtv inside the whole and around the screw. Torque down, wipe away extra and repeat till they are all done.I have not had 1 leak since I did that. And this thing runs really good. Uses the stock gears inside so no proprietary parts to order if anything fails. Also fits a little tight but I see that as a good thing beacuse with a little file work you can make a perfect fit to your transmission case.

Great upgrade for the Traxxas differential found in 2WD transmission. Nicely machined and very durable. Just remember to use BLUE Loctite on all fasteners.

Put this in my Slash 2wd and its been performing wonderfully! MAKE SURE that you use loctite on the screws and stretch the o-rings a little bit so they fit in the slot properly. Also do NOT over tighten when finally assembling as you will move the gears out of their proper position and it wont spin. The only thing this needs is a more detailed instruction guide, but Darkeclipticheart on youtube has a great assembly and install video that I used to great effect.
