After having a problem with moths in my birdseed in the garage, I knew I needed something airtight. These containers fit the bill. I like the smaller size, since filling a larger container makes it too heavy to carry to the bird feeder. There is no smell to the plastic, they are sturdy, and the lids are reasonably easy to open and close. I would get them again.

These storage containers were just what I was looking for. A container held almost 17 lbs of popcorn seeds. There was a slight odor probably from the plastic bag that they came it but quickly disappeared. They are food safe. I liked that the top of the lid can be unscrewed without trying to pull the lid off.Easy to carry, I would buy again.

These little buckets are sturdy and colorful. The size is more manageable for me than the 5 gallons pails (too much bird feed for me to lift). The smaller size is also better for a waterer in the coop (with watering cups added). It sits easily on the water heater for winter use and I hope that works. The top ring is not attached to the pails when received. I used a board and hammer and it slipped into place. Many people could assemble these without tools. I can also put these into the freezer to store the bird feed (and kill critters found in grains). I might be purchasing more.

I was surprised by how light these buckets were - makes me wonder if they have sufficient barrier properties for long-term storage of food. The top edge of the bucket ring was a bit rough and made it not possible to simply press on the Gamma Seal ring with my hands to get it to seat properly. I had to apply a thin layer of FDA (food safe) lubricant on the top of the bucket and then I used a mallet to get the ring to seat properly. It was also difficult to twist shut the Gamma lid. Not easy to line up and then did not twist closed smoothly. Iplan to return perhaps in a year to update my review. 24Sept2022

These are very nice buckets. Happy I decided on them. Seller was great. Had to contact him over a problem ,he handle in a fast and helped me out without any trouble. Nice to have sellers like him. I will order again from him. I recommend this seller.
