I really like these buckets with lids. I only really wanted one but they came in threes. Anyone, nice quality and the lid fits very well. The hardest thing about the bucket was getting the rim on. Really hard to do but once on, the lid works great

These are solid and work well. Getting the top ring on was a bit of a challenge but once on, they stay put.

Not water tight lids so definitely not air tight. One won't even fit.

I love buying USA made, because we build things STRONG and very DURABLE! The seal is air tight and the screw on lids make life so much easier than having to pry up the lid, especially for an old great gramma like me.However, I almost deducted a star for how hard it was for me to get the rim to seal on each bucket. I did it alone tho! Here is how…HELP WITH RIM SEAL: After much struggle trying other’s advice, I found a much easier way: I put the rim on the top (remove inner screw lid first), and used a hammer on one single part while watching the bottom of the rim INSIDE the bucket, you can see when the inner rim goes lower as it reaches it’s lowest limit, and the opposite side of the lid will lift upward when this first seal point is reached, making it easy to know you’ve reached the seal point on this first pounding 🙂. Then hold down hard on the sealed portion so it doesn’t unseal (pop off) and gradually work out from there on each side of that first point while you watch inside as each small section reaches that same seal point. As you work both sides, the opposite side that had lifted up will go down and as you reach the end it will still have a bit of a lip, this requires harder hammering to seal this last little portion. Using a hammer directly on the rim, mine held up with no problem cracking or denting for this old lady, however, if you are a strong person, you don’t need to use all your strength. Also, make sure everything is at a normal inside room temperature before this, cold or freezing items could crack if hammered on.Once I figured out how to put the rim on using this technique, it was not hard at all for this old lady to do! Pat self on back when done! 🙂

These food grade buckets arrived in great condition. 2 of them did have a smell of some kind so I ask my Son to check them out. He said they just needed to be washed out. He really liked the lids, the new screw on Gamma Lids. I can't wait to use them and empty up my large tote holding my perishable items. Happy with purchase!

It was hard to get the rims on but that js what makes the seal good so that's great. The tops screw on and off easily... so far they are working great for us
