This is advertised as having a 38mm outside diameter. I also purchased a 38mm die holder. Unfortunately the outside diameter of this die is 45mm. I have not used it yet but in all other respects it looks like it will do the job. 11/16-18 is not an easy size to find locally so I'm happy to have it. I'll get a 45mm holder for it and proceed with the rest of my 1965 Chevy Corvair project.Edit: the seller has since corrected the advertised size. I’ve used the die since then with no problems. I’m happy to recommend it.

Bought this to cut threads on automotive tie rod ends. Didn't quite fit my die handle, but still fit good enough to work. Made a nice thread.

I needed to fabricate a linkage on an antique farm implement. This die was tough enough to cut an old rusty and faintly oversize steel shift on both ends with no damage

This worked great for cleaning up the threads on the strut rod of my 1966 amc rambler. I didn't have a tap handle big enough but a monkey wrench did the job.
