If you have ever been faced with a job site that features extremes in elevation, then you have first-hand knowledge about low head drainage. Unfortunately, a system that requires ups and downs to fit the landscape will find that the water in its pipes seeks out the low points when the system is at rest. That typically results in messy paddling at the heads located at the lowest elevation and, ultimately, wasted water on walkways.

Doesnt work, pressure from a large sump pump didn't go through it. Basement flooded from this defective product. Costing me alot from the flooding.

Worked like a champ in shutting off the water that drained from the entire line to my septic sprinkler every time the pump shut off

Fits as described and stopped the leakage from my sprinkler head, however, it lowered the pressure to the sprinkler too much, causing the sprinkler head to stay down and not fully engage.

Snow plow took out a sprinkler head along the street. The head sat at bottom of a hill in the yard and had one of these units to regulate the pressure. The plow blade caught the head and snapped the old check value where the threads go into the irrigation head. Direct replacement, perfect fit. Be careful to flush out any dirt out of the line before installing the new unit (and also before adding the irrigation head). I got a bit wet but was worth having it clear. Working perfectly again. My heads are Hunter brand so this was perfect fit/replacement.

I have a low spot and had a lot of water leaking from the sprinkler head after the zone was done. I bought a sprinkler head with a check valve in it but it did not stop the water. I added this at the bottom of the sprinkler and it was perfect with no leakage. You can even install the valve prior to adding the sprinkler head to verify the water doesn’t leak past the valve.Very happy with device on day one.

This solved my problem immediately after installation. I had previously replaced the zone valve diaphragm and solenoid, but it didn’t solve the problem. Because this valve installs directly below the sprinkler head it adds three inches to the height of the sprinkler. If your installation is hard piped as mine was, you will have to install a couple of elbows and 3” of pvc pipe to maintain the prior height. No big deal to resolve my problem!

Work quite well. I have a low spot in my yard that keep leaking water due gravity. My water was skyrocketed and I had no idea why as the spot is at the end of my driveway. My neighbor alerted me to the issue. I looked everywhere at the brick and mortar stores and tried all of their check valves which none of them work as the water flow rate is too high.Did some research and found this check valve. Installed it and it stopped the water leak.I did an extra step. I installed a backflow preventer with a screener washer in between the check valve. The forums say that overtime debris would clogged up in the spring and cause the valve to stay open so the screener washer would help prevent debris from getting in the check valve.Highly recommend this if you have a low spot in your yard that is constantly leaking.
