- Cruise control allows you to set the target speed that the vehicle maintains, reducing driving fatigue and avoiding speeding tickets.
- Replace the worn-out cruise control switches of Ford and Mercury. The kit includes left and right steering wheel controls. All 5 control buttons on the steering wheel will be replaced. The reasons for the failure of the cruise switch are:
1. Fuses and relays: On some models, fuses and relays are used to protect the cruise control actuator circuit. If these two fail, the system will not work.
2. Cable harness: The cruise control switch of many models is installed on the steering wheel. When the harness connecting the switch fails, the cruise system cannot be controlled.
3. Control switch: The button generally has a life span. If the contact of the button is worn out, the cruise control switch cannot control the CCM. This may cause the car to disable the cruise system or fail to respond to cancellation or acceleration commands.

Super cheap replacements. I put these in my Ranger after buying it back in May. Took no time to install. Dims and feels okay to press down but not the best. I use cruise control almost everyday to and from work and they still look new from May.

Bought NY beautiful ranger about two years ago, cruise control came broken and ugly looking.Guess I got tired of seeing the 1st Pic, so I here I am.Instalation: Easy it's all about slack and memorizing where the wire went as you need it to run though smoothly without getting caught on somthing. (* I'm not a very mechanical person) took me about 30 mins, and most of that was trying to slide a wire some place in particular.Looks: looks great, better then before that's for sure.Functionality: Awesome, this is the first time I've ever experienced cruise control works great.When you hit on then set ac the pedal gets stiff and the speed stays at whatever you had her at, pretty cool.Tried checking lights but it was too light out when I tried, couldn't even see dash bord lights, but I'm sure they work and if they don't I don't really care tbh.

Only had it one for a few days, but it works just like it is supposed to and was about 1/5th the price of the auto store item. Only strange thing is the illumination on it.Starts out at the top as a pale orange color, changes to red in the middle and then a yellowish green at the bottom?? Looks a little strange but can see it good and it works!Can't beat the price.

Installed in 98 Ford Ranger. Easy to install. I used the original wiring harness. The only difficult part was removing the plugs from the old switches. They were difficult to remove from the original switches, but easy to remove from these new ones. They look and feel good and fit and work perfectly. My only concern is that when the lights are on, the switches get very warm. I had to dim my interior lights to keep them from getting too warm. I don’t know if this will damage them, but it is something to be aware of. As long as they continue to work, I will be very happy with them.

Perfect replacement for a Mazda b-series or ford ranger. Install isn't too tough, especially if all you need are the buttons themselves and the ribbon connectors are still good.
