This is actually built more solid than I was expecting. The desk clamp design allow you to really crank down some pressure to hold it in place. Installation wasn't too bad, but there were quite a few parts to assemble that might be overwhelming for some. The mounting plate itself has a lot of mounting options and is very sturdy. On mine, I have attached my Thrustmaster TH8S Shifter and a handbrake made by Racing Max Speed (generic handbrake). They both fit well and mounted right on.If you have a desk setup and need a mount like this, this is a good one to look into. The price is fair for the quality of the build. I'm sure there's cheaper options on the market, but sometimes you get what you pay for. This mount has been a welcome addition to my rig. 5 stars!

This mounting works well with my Logitech shifter. Most of it, including the mounting plate and the framing extrusion, is made of aluminum or better and provides stability for easy gameplay. The framing extrusion is completely height adjustable, not in stepped stages. The clamp style is underwhelming. The design is a fraction-fit clamp style as opposed to something that could be torqued down. The flaw comes in the rivets used to keep the clamp together. They are poor quality and loose. This causes the fitting between the mount and the desk to become unstable and eventually fail.

I've been using this with a Thrustmaster F 18 joystick without issue. I was able to locate enough screw holes on the bottom to easily mount this. I like that it has a simple lever to loosen mount making it easy to move around my desk. This mount has impressive heft. It's built to stand up to whatever you throw at it.

I'd highly recommend this one over some others!Pros: - Rock solid. Tighten everything down well and it will not budge. - Spring clamp mechanism holds strong while being super easy to take off (great if you use your desk or some space you need to be able to quickly return to normal). - Lots of extra hardware and holes. - Worked for everything I tried on it, even though it wasn't advertised. This includes a Honeycomb Alpha (just need spacers in the clamps) and a thrustmaster throttle (didn't clamp it at all and it gripped great).Cons: - Small thing, but there are two different size screws (2 sets each) for mounting the plate and the bracket for the plate, but the instructions say there are 4 of the same. The large ones go into the 2060, the small ones into the plate. - The instructions don't mention it, but the 2060 is only threaded on one end, so when you go to attach that top plate, make sure you're on the right end. I spent a couple minutes wondering why my screws wouldn't grab. - Every mount seems to have this issue: I wish they would make height adjusting easier than using a hex key. I like being able to tune it to the right height. Or at least give me a place to keep the hex key!Other than the minor instructions issues, this is a great mount. I highly recommend it.

I have tried a few of these desk clamp style mounting solutions for shifters and handbrakes, and every last one I have tried so far has been a bit of a disappointment in one way or another. At first glance, this seems to be the same, but there are a few things that really stand out. Most importantly, the plate that it comes with is actually NOT flimsy. It's quite strong. A lot stronger than every other mounting plate I have tried. The included hardware for clamping to the desk is also pretty heavy duty. As far as desk clamps go, I like this design the most, and this setup as a whole has the least amount of flex out of all of the clamps I have tried. The downside is the clamp seems to be easily disturbed, and it can be frustrating trying to reposition it. I may try something like zip ties to try to keep the lever in place but it would no longer be easily removable... which would likely defeat the purpose of this for most.Aside from that, the only other gripe I have is the size of the plate. It's pretty large. I think for most people this will be a plus, especially considering this is made to clamp to your desk where a little extra girth on either side of your setup probably isn't a concern: it easily fits my H-shifter, Sequential shifter, and handbrake. But for me, as I was looking to use this on my actual dedicated driving rig, it adds a good 6 inches of width to my rig, which would make it difficult to roll it through doors (something I do often). All in all, this is a pretty decent budget mounting solution that should work well for sim racers that use their computer desk and dismantle their setup when they are done and is a pretty good solution for the cost.

This mount feels robust at first, heavy and made of strong material. Lots of options available for securing a sim gear shifter or handbrake using the included nuts and bolts. Of course those options are only available for specific shifters, but if the shifter you're using has a clamp, that will work too with this (which is what I did). Positioning is adjustable, but a bit of a pain since you have loosen several bolts beforehand and tighten them again after. The lever operated clamp seems like a convenient idea and while it is secure to an extent, its not as strong as I would've hoped. Any sort of sudden desk movement or contact with the lever can cause the clamp to loosen. There's little to no force required to move the lever in order to loosen the clamp. So that's a bit unfortunate. All in all, its not unusable and if you have a compatible shifter it may very well stand out, but best to check other options too for your specific setup.
