I made the mistake of ordering this item thinking that it would be a replacement for my GX390 as the description indicates. After receipt of this piece, it is clear that the original and this "replacement" are two different sizes. I was optimistic and threw packaging away, therefore, will not be able to return. I am hoping this review brings awareness to others that may be considering due to the false claim of this being replacement for the GX390.

Recoil starter looked very similar to the Champion OEM part, but only lasted maybe 20 pulls. Spring broke and pawls came loose and were sticking out crooked...go back with OEM.

Very displeased with this product. It was a perfect fit for my generator and was very easy to install but after just the 3rd pull it completely broke. It absolutely was not worth the money and I would not recommend buying it.
