This tape feels a bit thicker than the usual Teflon tape you get at the big box hardware store. The half inch width is suitable for many applications. I used it while rebuilding an old Dewalt air compressor and the tape did its job. About 4 to 6 rounds of the tape on the threads made good air-tight seals on all the connections.I am sure it would work great for any general plumbing application. The price is right for a 5 pack delivered to my door. Recommended.

Can't argue with getting 5 rolls of plumber's tape for a decent price.Works as expected, and I can keep a roll in 2 different tool boxes, and have 3 in storage, as spares.Instead of being upset because unexpectedly running out of plumber's tape, have more than needed for the current job.Makes sense, this tape doesn't go bad.Excellent value for the quantity and quality.

I like this item because it is a great value - the price and quality are terrific. I had to replace my old tape sealers that turned out to be very thin and would mostly shred when unraveling. This one does not and is a good bang for your buck.It does what it is supposed to do which seal the water connection and provide a means of taking the connections apart after many years of use if need be. That is, the connections don't seem to corrode over time.

I bought this roll of tape to install my new shower head: . I am happy to report that the shower head is still leak free. And this is a high pressure shower head with a really good blast. (I love my shower now!)I absolutely love this tape! The tape has a good width and is extremely durable. Most teflon tapes are frayed or broken with the slightest pull. This teflon tape has been solid. It applies evenly in a nice layers around the pipe thread to create an effective seal. You may need some scissors or a knife to get a clean cut in the tape. Or you can be a man like me and just use your teeth. :)I highly recommend this tape for your plumbing jobs.

Purchased these because my hose (which is about 2 months old so it’s pretty new) was leaking at both the connector where it attaches to the water line as well as the sprayer. I attached put this on both ends and reattached to the line and the spray nozzle and both are no longer leaking! I love when I get an idea to fix something and it actually works! Although I really don’t need 5 of these, I assume they will last for years and will be handy to have on hand. I’d rather buy too many and not have to leave my house, than buy a single roll and have to deal with the parking lot and checking out at the local big box home improvement store.Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. My reviews are always my honest opinion and I try to include photos if possible. If my review has helped you in any way, please click the "helpful" button below so that I know! I love this stuff. I would marry it if I could. As it is, I'm spending a whole lot of time trying to find places to use it because A) It works and B) It's easy to use. Crazy House is old, and some of the choices the previous owners made have left me and The Housemate scratching our heads. Water spigots are antiques, and I feared they'd need to be replaced until I found this tape. A couple of wraps, and the leaking has stopped completely. Seriously I'm so juiced about that that I keep asking The Housemate, "Is anything else leaking? We have a LOT of this tape."A couple of tips for anyone who, like me, had never used Teflon tap before: Figure out the direction you need to turn the female connector in to attach it to the male connector. (It's usually clockwise; righty-tighty, lefty-loosey) Wrap the tape around the threads of the male connector in the same direction so when you attach the female part, you're not turning it against the direction of the wrap. I did it randomly to start and regretted it. Also, don't unroll a lot of tape at once. It's light and it can tangle and will stick to itself. Apply with a light pressure. Don't stretch it, but don't just lay it on the threads. Wrap a few times around the connector. And finally, once the wrap is finished, smooth it with your fingers. The tape will pretty much stick to itself and mold itself to the threads. So before you decide to make expensive changes, try this simple, and immensely satisfying repair.
