I installed this. It worked for one day and then failed the second day. Luckily it was in my garage because the car wouldn't start. I did a return and exchange for the same part and the second one was defective out of the box. I put the old part back in and it works fine, so it's not the car/wiring.

I saw this and got it for a spare. I had one die on me a few years ago and left me stranded. Given how reasonable the price was it's good to have on hand. Heat is what kills these when you install them make sure everything is clean where the metal contacts the distributor. I toss the grease that comes with these and use thermal paste for computer CPU's to ensure that it has the best heat transfer to keep the module as cool as possible.
