I like InkBird and have been using one for the past five years. The pics that I included show the new one I just ordered and the one I bought 5 years ago. They did change the design slightly. You'll only see a difference on the back. There is a slight change in the ventilation holes. Other than that, they didn't change a thing. The new one operates just like the old one.You can see discrepancies between the two units. Not much, but they do register different values. I've noticed this about InkBird and don't rely on the temp and humidity too much. I'm looking at the co2 numbers and their relation to safe levels. If you set a value for the alarm to go off, it will alarm. Is this the most accurite measuring device, probably not, but it's not as expensive as others either. This is easy to set up and it comes with a usb cable that's 6 1/2' long. this might not be long enough for some folks, but it worked fine for me. The battery seems to have the same charge time as my older unit. A full charge should last a day and a half. Constant monitoring requires it to be plugged in all the time as with most things. To calibrate your device, take it outside on a day that's clear and no one is burning leaves or something. Away from people too. Turn the device off with the top center button. Then press all three buttons at the same time till the 200 second count down timer starts. Leave it alone and don't stand near or breath on the device. It will pick up your breath and throw the calibration off. That's it.

I wanted a meter to check for CO2 in my home as family has been complaining of headaches and drowsiness, and I read in a few different sources and was advised by the family doctor, that air quality can be of concern. It's amazing how vastly different levels can be in within the same home when all the windows are closed during the winter. For example, two bedrooms next to each other where different by 1000 ppm, both had their doors open the entire day. Considering levels over 1000ppm for extended periods has been found to be detrimental, I need to find out why. They're both fed off the same central air duct, neither are anywhere near the garage, literally 40 feet away on a different floor. With these findings, now I want to have the house professionally checked. To confirm this meter was accurate, my friend compared it to his professional grade one used for his business, they were +/- 5-10 ppm of each other. Note, I'm not asking my friend to check my house, just doesn't seem right to do so.Positives:-Portable, battery operated, USB-C rechargeable, with a long included cable.-Easy to read, large, back-lit display with color coding.-Loud alarm!-Responds quickly to changes to CO2, checked by moving near a lit candle.-Accurate temperature compared to an old-school thermometer.-Includes humidity meter, but I have nothing to compare it to for accuracy.Negatives:-Expensive for a plasticky device. For $70.99, I'd like to see a better encasement.Considerations:-Backlit will not stay on, requiring a button press to pop it back on. Not a big issue for me, but i can see some being annoyed by this.-You'll likely despise the alarm!-Don't place near a drafty location for best results.-I'd think accuracy will drop drastically if you hang this on the wall without an airgap.-Does not include a USB-A wall adapter for charging.Overall:-If you can pick it up when the 20% off coupon (or more) is available, I think it's a good value, otherwise I find it a bit pricy. This review is for "INKBIRDPLUS Indoor CO2 Meter, Air Quality Monitor can Monitor Temperature & Humidity, Carbon Dioxide Detector with Alarm Function, CO2 Detector for Grow Tents, Wine Cellars, Homes, Cars"

I was hoping for a tool that would offer insights into the very air we breathe. However, my experience with this device left much to be desired, as it failed to fulfill its intended purpose.Upon unboxing, I was initially impressed by its sleek design and promised functionality. Yet, as I attempted to integrate it into my living space, I quickly realized that something was amiss. Despite its claims of accuracy, the meter consistently provided erratic readings, leaving me lost in a fog of uncertainty. The temperature and humidity monitoring features, touted as additional benefits, also fell short of expectations. Instead of offering clarity, they only added to the confusion, further undermining the reliability of the device.Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of my experience was the alarm function, which failed to alert me to potential air quality issues as advertised. In a world where indoor pollutants pose a significant threat to health and well-being, such a feature is not just desirable but essential—and its absence left me feeling vulnerable and unprotected.
