Very clean CPU, no scratches or signs of mistreatment. Installed a treat and works very well.As others have noted, packaging could have been better (at this price point), and also could have been supplied with a small dot of thermal paste (also at this price point).I suppose I could have paid 1/3 via 'another marketplace', but the assurances from this supplier swayed it.

Product had no damage and worked just fine. It even came with some thermal paste (though I opted for a higher quality one)4 stars instead of 5 because the cpu was just loose in a box about 10 times larger than the cpu itself, it also had slipped out of the plastic casing so there is some risk of damage during shipping however since this is Amazon I have no doubts if it arrived not working I'd get my money back.

Updated review, so far so good, popped out the i5 processor, dropped in the i7 , and booted it back up, there has been some speed increase, but not anything really substantial, the real increase has been the ability to have more programs open and working at the same time, the rendering time seems to have improved some, I haven't changed anything from the stock settings yet, not sure if I will either.. For the price it's a good investment, while I wait for the 12 cores to come down a little more in price..
