The stand seemed pretty unsteady and the bowl was sliding around, the design is just poor. There were also a couple brown specks on the ceramic that wouldn’t come off after washing. Immediately sending it back and trying my luck with a different bowl.

These bowls look really nice and are well-made, but my 8 and 12lbs cats do not seem to get the slow-feeding benefit. They might just be too large for the cat's small face. I am going to keep them since they seem to like them and I do really like the elevated height.

***(Updated review 1/3/2025)*** This is really a "keep it simple, stupid" (KISS) product and I was a big problem with why it took so long to start improving the situation. I was feeding far too much and too often. After I learned how much food to put into this slow feeder bowl and how often to refill it, things improved with my cats. At first I didn't like how often I had to refill the bowl, but it has become habit now. If I notice it's empty I grab a handful of dry cat food and toss it in making sure that it sits below the humps. I do that multiple times throughout the day. And a few months later my cats have finally stopped vomiting so often after eating. Now they rarely vomit after eating unless they are throwing up a hairball. I no longer dread feeding time because there really isn't a feeding time anymore. More like a continual grazing throughout the day among my 6 cats. They have lost weight, look and feel better. If I could give this simple product a million stars I would. It's been a game changer.***(original review 9/29/2024)***This slow feeder cat food bowl with its cute, rounded cat designs inside does slow down my eager eaters, but only if I put a very small amount of kibble in at a time. When I fill it too much, the cat-shaped obstacles don't seem to be much of a challenge for my cats. This has reduced vomiting right after eating by about 50% with my overeating cats, and when it does happen, it's a smaller amount, which is a plus. However, because I have to keep the dish minimally full I find myself having to refilling it several times a day to ensure everyone gets enough food.The raised wooden platform was very easy to assemble and is secure but a bit wobbly and lower than I would prefer. My cats still have to bend their heads quite a bit to reach the food. I would guess that the slow feeding design of the bowl seems to be the key factor in reducing vomiting, not the platform itself.

I have been looking for a new slow feeder for my cat since her old one didn’t help keep her from eating too fast and throwing up. This bowl has seriously reduced her eating speed and we have had significantly less throwing up after eating! I like that the bowl is wide and shallow preventing whisker fatigue and hold about 1/2 cup of food without covering the slow feeder elements. The bowl is nice quality and so is the stand - they don’t fit perfectly together but it work! I think it’s a reasonable price point and I’m happy with it

Very nice quality cat bowl. The wooden base holds the ceramic bowl nicely and is made of quality material. So nice having the bowl off the floor with style.
