The feel of this switch is very positive and definitive. I measure contact resistance at roughly 0.05 Ohms. I'm not sure if "Operating Voltage 12 V" means you can't use it to interrupt higher voltages, but I guess I'd take them at their word on that.1 Star reduction in the rating because it's unclear whether the current rating is 3 A or 5 A; the product page says both. Also the labeling of the wires is ambiguous. There are 2 White and 2 Green wires, which are normally closed and normally open, respectively. The sticker on the back says one green wire is NO, one is COM, but there is no way to differentiate which is which, and I'd assume they are symmetrical. As best I can tell, there are two separate, isolated, SPST switches included here (I didn't get any continuity between either white wire and either of the green wires). That makes the switch very flexible, if true, as you could control two completely separate circuits, but I wouldn't know how much isolation to depend on between the two. 12 V should be safe.

This Exit Button is made from a thick plate of brushed aluminum plate (1/16”) with the button mounted in it. The button is 11/16” in diameter. It has an o-ring gasket behind it so that it seals any water from getting past the button; however, water could enter anywhere around the outside of the metal plate as there’s no gasket there, nor on the two countersunk holes. The four wires all have heat shrink tubing insulating and protecting them from short circuits. However, the way it’s packaged creates a sharp bend on the weakest area of the wires right behind the heat shrink. In fact, one is so bad that it looks to have almost severed the wire inside the wire’s insulation (see photos). I fixed it by putting another 1” piece of heat shrink tubing over all of them. Hopefully, that will keep the wires from further flexing and breakage. The white pair of wires is normally closed, while the black pair is normally open. Pushing the button opens the white pair, while simultaneously closing the black pair.Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you need a quality momentary switch, this could be just the ticket. Beware, though, to check the wiring as there’s going to be a sharp bend at the wrong spot.

Feels great! This is a high quality all metal push button that has a very satisfying click to it. It comes in a small box, with the button wrapped in plastic to protect the brushed finish, and with the mounting screens in a separate bag. I measured the overall size as 3.389" (~86mm) x 1.969" (50mm). The hole spacing is about 2.350" (~60mm). It could also be mounted in a round hole with diameter of at least 0.862" (7/8" would be perfect), using the included nut (just like most push buttons or potentiometers). There are four leads off the back, about 7" each. There are no instructions, but there's a small sticker on the back that indicates that you use the green wires if you want NO (normally open), or the white wires for NC (normally closed). I verified the operation with a multimeter to ensure I understood this correctly. My only suggestion for the product would be to omit the label "PRESS TO EXIT", as I have another use for it in mind. But the label could be easily covered with a sticker, or possibly polished off and new lettering applied.

The switch and plate is high quality and works great. The holes in the plate are consistent with standard switch covers not switches so it took some extra fabrication in order to mount to a standard electrical box which wasn’t ideal. Would be 5 stars if it was built to size to fit over a standard electrical box.

I recently purchased the Waterproof Exit Button NO&NC Door Push Switch Stainless and am quite pleased with it. The construction of the switch is sturdy, and the button has a good tactile feedback and a nice audible “click.” The screw holes don't line up exactly with standard 1-gang boxes, so my husband created an adapter plate to secure it.We did have some concerns about the thin wires it has. They seemed a bit flimsy and like they could easily rip off while positioning the switch in the wall box. Good thing was they did not rip! The labeling of the wires is unclear so it is difficult to differentiate them. There are two white and two green wires. The switch is supposed to be able to control two separate circuits, but the lack of specificity regarding the isolation between them made us a bit hesitant.Beyond these small issues, we really liked the stainless panel and construction of the switch. Although the switch is a bit smaller than standard wall panels, it seems well-sealed and should hold up well. Overall, I would recommend it for those looking for a high-quality switch for their access control system.
